Small step forward
Visually, the game looks just fine. The efforts of the developers were not in vain. The picture was excellent. Characters, various objects, animals, weapons, the world around us - everything is worked out to the smallest detail. Between missions inserted a lot of beautiful and realistic videos.
The open world was created on the engine (modified) Dunia Engine 2. It is responsible for changing the time of day and weather events, and also allows you to create huge locations with a lot of different vegetation. It is noticeable how in comparison with the previous part the detail has increased. For example, there are fewer artifacts that are usually associated with loading areas as the player moves through them. Of course, all this is good, but it should be borne in mind that the system requirements for the Far Cry Primal game are quite high.
Interestingly, this time the PC version of the game was left without some of the technologies developed by Nvidia. And this applies even to technologies that improve shadows. You can forget about the smoothing method (TXAA), hair imitation and volumetric lighting. For some reason, the developer decided to use his implementation of the above effects.
