Near the Verkhneuralskoye reservoir is Magnitogorsk, they are separated by 25 kilometers. And also not very far Verkhneuralsk, only 17 kilometers. The reservoir is located north of the first point and south of the second. A very large body of water, it is not for nothing called the sea.
History
Verkhneuralskoe reservoir is not a natural phenomenon, but the work of human hands. Started to create it in the 60s. The reservoir is 23 km long and 3 km wide. Originally it was built for the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works.

Wild camping

For example, if you leave the village of Zheltinsky, which is located in the east of the reservoir, you will see a wild beach. It is very large, 2.5 km. Conventionally wild, it is equipped there: there are places where you can put up a tent, where you can leave the car, there is even a base for surfing. And here people who adore surfing often come here.
On the right bank of the storage you can see the highway, which leads from Magnitogorsk to Verkhneuralsk. Along the left bank is another road, it is unpaved, but good. From both of these roads there are different turns and lanes, they lead to a reservoir.
This is a very large reservoir, so there is the opportunity to engage in various sports. People who own watercraft come here, sailing regattas are held. There is also a yacht club called Azure.
But usually most often people come here to fish.
Fishing
Rest on the Verkhneuralskoye reservoir may also include fishing. Various fish are found here. For example, carp, crucian carp, rudd, pike and so on. And most importantly, the fish is quite large. You can take a fishing rod, spinning. Fishermen say the most common catch is perch. The remaining species also peck, but a little less often. If we talk about the camp sites of the Verkhneuralskoye reservoir, then we can mention the "Veterok" and "Mermaid".
The latter can be found next to the dam, located on the right. The base is fenced with a fence, has its own pier. There are exits to the water, not only for boats, but also for boats. It has its own well, music events and other events are held at the base.
The "breeze" is also located next to the dam, on the right side. This is a large plot of land with several houses, there is a bathhouse, a sports complex, there is a garage and houses, a private beach, a pier, and a private garage for boats.
