PM12 magnetic starter: description

The PM12 electromagnetic starter is mainly intended for switching electric drives and current collectors, as well as remote switching electric drives. One of the main advantages of starters of this series is the execution on the same mechanism of different capacities. It is mainly supplied with the RTL TU3 425-041-05758109-2008 current relay to protect the drive from overloads, including those caused by a break in one of the phases. Starters of this series of Russian production, they are produced by the Kursk Electrical Equipment Plant. They have a wear resistance class “B”.

It is also indicated by the manufacturer that the height can reach 4300 m above sea level, and at a voltage of 380 V it is necessary to select a starter so that the maximum current consumption is less by 10% than nominal.

The PM12 starter is mounted on a vertical plane with the leads of the electromagnetic coil up and down, and when mounted on a DIN rail, it can deviate 15 degrees left-right. Depending on the environment, starters are available in degrees of protection 0.0, 2.0, and 5.4. The manufacturer claims that all electromagnetic starters PM12 manufactured by him are made of high quality materials and alloys. Testing of products, in particular electromagnetic relays, consoles, current relays, should ensure reliable operation. A current relay using the most modern bimetallic alloys will reliably protect equipment from abnormally high currents, as well as from the breakdown of one of the phases.
