He appeared for the first time on Ipanema beach after one of the girls, preparing for the carnival and trying to stand out among her rivals, reduced her swimsuit to a minimum.
The shock was incredible. This happened in 1972, when only inveterate nudists and hippies allowed the opportunity to show their bodies on the beaches, revealing their full or little body covering, wearing bikini underwear. But unexpectedly, the example of this girl turned out to be contagious, and the epidemic of a micro-swimsuit passed along the coast of all of South America, spreading further to Europe.
