Porter Elinor reveals to the reader the wonderful world of the heroine she created. After the novel was published, Pollyanna was recognized as the most optimistic literary hero. The society reacted incredibly actively to the appearance of the book. The Pollyanna Clubs sprang up in all parts of America. In 2002, a monument was erected to the heroine in the courtyard of the public library in Littleton. She is represented in the image of a girl with a fluttering dress and her arms wide apart, like wings. The book was filmed several times in the United States and other countries. The performance of the same name is successfully staged by the Moscow Youth Theater. There are also musical versions of this novel.
