Domestic gaming companies do not often delight gamers with successful projects that you want to play and even go on to - create your own mods and flaunt them. The STALKER series of games is considered one of the most successful projects of the Ukrainian company GSC World. An open world with a relatively non-linear plot, quite tolerable graphics, a fascinating plot, closely connected with the tragedy at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, known to almost every inhabitant of the post-Soviet space - this is only a small part of the description of the series of the game that won the hearts of many players. Immersed in the atmosphere of the "Zone", living the difficult life of a stalker, the gamer as if he himself moves into the game, it affects so emotionally.
Stalker - a domestic masterpiece
Not surprisingly after the overwhelming success of all three official parts was the release of a huge number of modifications, which gained a large number of fans. Various mods were produced - from global ones that alter both the storyline and the main character, to elementary corrections (patches) that eliminate errors, as well as improve musical and visual accompaniment. Of course, atmospheric atmospheric, but definitely the most successful was the release of the Call of Pripyat addon, which amazes with its large-scale locations. However, despite the importance of the new part, after passing the main story, the player will almost immediately get tired of the further proposed free play, since, unfortunately, he does not affect anything. It was in order to close this gap and, so to speak, improve the aftertaste, even better "Stalker" mods began to appear, which are presented below:
- The mod with the short name Sigerous Mod was recognized as one of the best gamers - the storyline was modernized, again new quests appeared, the author of the mod tried to maximize the capabilities of the game engine, adding new options.
- "Valley of rustles" - a story that has nothing to do with the original part and taking place on a new and only location in the game. The player is invited to get into the adventures of a stalker veteran, who finally decided to "break the last jackpot" before leaving the Zone;
- "The Way to Pripyat" is another branch of the main plot - for acquaintance there will be presented the story of two friends who went for secret blueprints - whether they will get to their goal and whether they can go back - a question the answer to which this mod offers us to find.
- Second Way Mod - a modification designed to "extend" the adventures of the protagonist from the original part of the Zone, for which a huge number of side quests were introduced, the fate of many secondary characters, etc. is also described in more detail.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 - perhaps a lost dream
Fashion is a very good opportunity for a connoisseur of the series to delve into a familiar and beloved world, learn a lot about life inside the Zone. But playing even the best mod on “Stalker”, you can’t replace it with the official sequel created by the developers of the original series. Who else, besides the people who invented this story, will be able to continue its narration in the best way. However, to our great regret, GSC World at this stage froze its activity, almost on the verge of closure, dismissed the entire group of employees who took part in the creation of Stalker 2. She also released many concepts of the future game on the Internet, thereby almost condemning people who are waiting for the sequel to go on to endless expectations.
But it’s still worth noting that no official application for closing has been received, which suggests that the publisher has the opportunity to re-assemble a team of developers who can nevertheless revive the dying hope of a huge number of gamers to return to a mysterious, dangerous and at the same time It’s time, the much-desired world of the Exclusion Zone.
