Of the most ordinary materials that are in every home, you can create many original things. For example, do-it- yourself Christmas toys. The easiest option would be a house of paper tubes. The ideas of its creation are completely diverse and sometimes arise during work, so to bring something original into the craft will not be a problem.
What is required
To create jewelry, you may have to visit the clerical department of any store to improve the initial idea. In addition, something may still be missing. So, for crafts you will need:
- several sheets of A4 paper;
- a pack of multi-colored cardboard;
- glue stick;
- scissors;
- straight cocktail tubes.
Procurement of "building materials"
To make a house of paper tubes with your own hands, you need details. To create them, the existing sheets will need to be divided into several parts, outlining them with a pencil. The sizes of the elements are a matter of taste of the creator.
Then the blanks are cut and twisted. To simplify the process, you can use cocktail tubes by wrapping paper around them. This will give the desired shape in advance, and the details will only be glued. In order to avoid damage to the elements, twisting should begin from the sides, otherwise the material will be remembered.
The number of such blanks depends on the scale of the idea, therefore it is worth doing them in the process of work, having rolled up 10 pieces in advance to get used to the upcoming construction.
DIY paper tube house
Like any building, a souvenir begins with a foundation. It should be made from thick cardboard, making a semblance of a box with low sides. So that the material does not catch the eye, the outer side is glued on the sides with shorter tubes.
Then they begin to lay out the ranks according to the same principle that was used in the construction of Russian huts. Because of this, part of the parts will have to be made more compact so that the elements fit tightly and there are no gaps between them. When on each side there will be five makeshift logs, you need to outline the location of windows and doors. To make the house of paper tubes look symmetrical, it is recommended to place all the holes at the same height.
Windows and roof
To mark the openings in the walls you will have to use short parts, the dimensions of which are calculated independently. Places of cuts can be masked with “frames” of colored cardboard at the end of the work. At this stage, the use of the material will show the "interior decoration". To do this, cut a square under the opening, make an application on it and paste it into the window.
If a country house is made of paper tubes, then for further construction the length of the parts is also independently adjusted so that the front and rear walls form a triangle.
The roof is cut out of cardboard. So that it does not collapse, it is worthwhile to build several support beams from the remains and fix the roof on them already. In fact, its form can be any, so experiments are only welcome, because the originality of the idea is the most important in the hand-made.
Doors of the building are also preferably made of glued ducts and placed in the opening. If possible, such a frame is covered from above with self-adhesive wallpaper with a wood pattern.
Jewelry
After the craft (a house made of paper tubes) is essentially ready, you can proceed to decorate and detail it. If desired, the building is supplemented with various elements: porch, shutters, fence, etc. If there is imagination and additional materials, the possibilities are practically unlimited.
The staircase to the door, by the way, is made of the remaining ducts, covering them with various self-adhesive wallpapers. This gives the house a natural touch and unique surroundings. If time permits, you can do the same with the details for laying walls. Naturally, it is worth decorating them in advance. Actually, this material is used for absolutely any purpose.
If large-scale work is planned, all details, including the building, are fixed on a single surface. For example, pruning plywood or wood. In general, any useless thing separately can become an element of decor that will make the house of paper tubes more vivid and original.
