Each year, during the spring or autumn draft, along with the situation when young men who have reached the draft age leave the army, one more problem is revealed - the state of health of those who must, according to the current legislation, go to military military service.
Today, the conditions of army service are much more democratic than five or six years ago. Despite the fact that, thanks to modern technology, considerable physical exertion is removed from the soldiers ’shoulders, they want to see healthy and strong recruits in airfields and ships, in regiments and battalions. But, unfortunately, draft commissions do not observe a clear improvement in the health of future soldiers.
Medical commissions note that the main part of the diseases of conscripts who were recognized as temporarily unfit or completely unsuitable for military service are diseases of the musculoskeletal system, which make up about 30% of cases. Much fewer young people who have reached military age suffer from diseases of the digestive or cardiovascular systems, as well as mental illnesses.
All of the above categories of diseases do not allow you to go to both urgent and contractual service for young people with health problems. Therefore, the problem of recruiting army ranks by recruits remains relevant, despite the increase in army funding this year.
However, there is no reason to believe that a high percentage of young men unsuitable for military service will be a reason for changing their terms. This was repeatedly spoken by representatives of the Ministry of Defense. This problem takes place, therefore, it must be solved both by state bodies and public organizations by forming the priorities of a healthy lifestyle in society, implementing military-patriotic education in universities and schools, improving the quality of medicine, etc. Activities in all of the above areas are gaining momentum. speed, so in the near future should be available positive results.
Intimidating the boys from childhood with the army, in all legal and illegal ways helping them to avoid service, parents make an irreparable mistake. When the draft age approaches, it is not necessary to say that society in these cases receives full-fledged defenders of the Fatherland. Some “caring” parents even attribute to their son some non-existent disease, while others do not treat the chronic diseases discovered in the child in time, postponing treatment until the draft age has passed. They hope that chronic diseases in due time will allow their grown-up son to avoid military service. False certificates, by hook or by crook, also lead to sad consequences. A little later, young people will more than once face a refusal of employment, especially if mental illness was a cover from the army.
Loving parents should remember that draft age in the Russian Federation exists for everyone, and their children should not shy away from military service and take illegal actions to delay the draft or even get rid of the army - this threatens with criminal liability. By decision of the draft committee, materials regarding such draftees are sent to the investigating authorities in accordance with the article “On Military Duty and Military Service”. As evasion of military service, actions of our compatriots of draft age who, without any reason, do not go to the military registration and enlistment office, deliberately inflict bodily harm on themselves, use fake documents, and also use other illegal methods without finding or not having legal reasons to free yourself from conscription.
Today, most countries of the world oblige to serve in the army of persons who have long celebrated their 30th anniversary. In our country, it was decided to increase the draft age to 30 years. Such a proposal was put forward by the head of the Main Organization and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff, Colonel General V. Smirnov at a meeting of the Federation Council, which was devoted to the legislative regulation of military duties in Russia. He offers to ponder the question of deferment from service while studying at higher educational institutions. V. Smirnov believes that a young man in the event of a draft after the first or second year to the service does not lose anything, since a similar practice has taken place before.
