Then special machines were invented for the manufacture of wire nails.

Today, construction nails are made of different wires, of various cross-sections, diameters and lengths. All of them are applied in certain cases. In order for the fastening to be reliable and durable, you should carefully choose the nails, because if they are used for other purposes, the fasteners will soon loosen and will make itself felt.

Construction nails
Standard construction nails are made of steel wire or of steel that has not undergone heat treatment. Label them with two numbers that indicate the diameter and length of the rod. Hats are different, they can be both smooth and grooved. On some nails, a notch may be applied to the shaft. It is needed for a stronger and stronger connection of structures. Serif nails are used when it is necessary to fasten boards of different wood.

There are also construction nails that are used only for certain purposes. This type of fastener includes square nails with double or L-shaped hat. Double head can be used when working with formwork. They can be pulled out very simply with a nail clipper, and they get clogged quite easily. With L-shaped hats can be used as hooks, and so that they do not scroll, a special notch is provided. It is such nails that are necessary if the part needs only to be attached to the base, but not to pierce it through.

All nails used in construction can be either galvanized or non-galvanized. The second will last comparatively short, therefore it is recommended to use them only for temporary fastening. In all other cases, it is better to choose galvanized nails.
