- Kamlot is an expensive pleasure for the middle class of the beginning of the 19th century, made from camel or Angora wool, which has an admixture of silk in the fibers. The canvas was soft to the touch and had a loose texture. It was because of the high cost of such material for tailoring that a cheaper analogue of camelot was invented, completely consisting of cotton fibers.
Gradually, a new fashion replaced this wardrobe item from everyday life, but its derivatives remained - a jacket, dress coat, tuxedo and other types of outerwear. In the modern world, the choice of fabrics and styles is greater than ever, so in stores you can find not only a men's leather frock coat, but also a women's wool or silk coat, most often used as a part of a fancy dress.
