In modern conditions, when decorating premises, a metal profile is widely used . A frame for drywall is assembled from it, which can be made in several levels (for example, two- or three-tier ceilings). The metal profile has been used as fasteners for drywall for a long time, using auxiliary parts: crabs, T-shaped and U-shaped connectors, suspensions (direct and spring), connectors for building.
The most commonly used part for attaching the frame to drywall is the direct suspension for the CD-60. With its help, the profile is fixed to the wall or ceiling. The extension connector is used to fasten two or more profiles into one. Crab is used to "splicing" a building profile at right angles. When you need to create a frame for drywall in two or more levels, use a U-shaped connector. A suspension with a spring is used to fasten the profile to the ceiling.
Some of the described parts, for example, an extension cord and a T-connector, are rarely used by builders. But without such mounting elements as self-tapping screws and dowels, it is difficult to imagine high-quality fasteners for drywall.
There are several types of clamping fasteners for the construction profile:
1. Screws for metal. They are used for mounting drywall to the profile. Usually use screws 25 mm long.
2. LM screws (bugs, fleas). It is these small self-tapping screws that connect the profile to the suspensions, etc. Fasteners for drywall involves the use of auxiliary parts (crabs, suspensions, connectors). All these parts are attached to the profile with LM screws.
3. Quick installation (dowel-nail). It is used to install the guide profile. Under the pressure of the nail, the plastic part of the quick assembly bursts, firmly pressing the profile against the wall.
4. Press washer. It is also used to connect building profiles to each other. It is a replacement for self-tapping LM in the manufacture of external works.
5. Wood screws. They are used for fastening a building profile to gypsum walls (gypsum partitions), as well as for building a frame of wooden blocks and attaching drywall to them. They are also used to connect drywall sheets to each other. Due to the wide stroke of the screw, a self-tapping screw on wood perfectly fastens gypsum boards.
When installing drywall, one of the pressing issues is the correct thermal insulation of the room. Manufacturers of building materials provide a wide selection of thermal insulation: polystyrene boards, polystyrene foam, mineral wool, polymer heat reflectors. Fasteners for thermal insulation can be of various types, depending on the used thermal insulation material.
High-quality fasteners for drywall is an important component of the repair and construction work and a guarantee of their high quality. However, do not forget that the level of professionalism of construction workers is also of great importance.
