Start over
The first and most inconvenient option for changing races is a new game. The fact is that after the final confirmation of the model of the hero, it is impossible to change it throughout the game. This can only be done when editing a hero or using the console. Therefore, we immediately proceed to the second method.
Using console
To change the race in Skyrim and not reset all progress to zero, you need to use special console commands. About them further.
First you need to activate a special console using the "~" key. After that, a line appears in which you need to enter commands in English. The player must enter showracemenu. After that, the screen for creating a character will appear on the screen, as at the very beginning of the passage. You need to choose a different race and save the changes. In this case, all skills and pumping remain at the same level!
The second option is the player.setrace <ID> command. Instead of an ID, you must insert a race value. To get a unique race code, you need to use the help race 0 command. After that, a list of all IDs will appear on the screen, which can be scrolled using the Page Up and Page Down keys. Another option differs from the above only in syntax. Instead of the presented command, you can enter: playersetrace <ID>.
Modification
You can also change the race in the game "Skyrim" using a special mod that adds the "Change race" item to the ability leveling menu. The name of one of these add-ons is ShowRaceMenu Alternative.
