Quest start
In order to activate this mission, Dovakin needs to read the book “Forbidden Legends of Skyrim”. The easiest way to find one of the copies of this publication is in the library of the court magician Fahrengar, in Whiterun. After that, the quest icon will appear on the map, and to continue the mission, the main character must go to the ruins of Folguntur. This place is located near Solitude. Arriving at your destination, search the tents and read the first part of Dainas Valen's diary. The amulet of Goldur became the goal of the life of this adventurer, and the main character will have to follow the trail of his expedition.
Folguntur
This place is an ancient Nordic ruin, so get ready to meet with the durgurgs - the defenders of burials. In addition, inside you will find several puzzles and traps that will have to be solved. But not only troubles await you on the way. Since the ancient ruins are crammed with gold and precious stones, you can easily collect a lot of useful things. The main thing is not to forget to check all the chests.
Getting to the corpse of Dainas Valen will be quite simple. Take and read the second part of the diary and take the Bone Claw. This ancient artifact will be the key to finding the treasure, which is the amulet of Goldur. Insert it into the keyhole and the bridge will lower. On the other side you will find several mild dragurgs, and after the battle with them, go deep into the ruins. The first riddle is the grill and four levers. To go further, activate the second on the right, and after it - the first left. The next puzzle will be a room with rotating stones. In order to go further, select the signs in this order - a snake, a whale, an eagle. We pass on and get to the door to the crypt. Here it is necessary to turn the rings to the image shown on the bone claw, and this is an eagle, an eagle, a dragon. Inside you are waiting not only for the draugs, but also for Mikrul Goldurson himself. The victory over him will bring you the legendary weapon - the Black blade of Goldur, and with it a part of the amulet. Also, be sure to study the Frost Breath Scream and pick up valuables from the chest near the Wall of Power.
Geirmund Hall
You can find part of the amulet of Goldur in some of the Nordic ruins located near the town of Ayvarsted. Inside, we jump into a hole with water and go forward to the iron doors. Next, you need to solve the puzzle with rotating stones. To get through it, turn the first left column to the image of the bird, the second right to the fish picture, the third to the snake, and the last to the fish. After that, activate the lever, and go to the next cave. Here you will find the epitaph of Geyrmund, as well as the key.
Further travel will be simple - kill the durgs and go from room to room. In the end, you will find yourself in a semi-submerged cave, where a rather difficult battle awaits you. It is necessary to kill not only the owner of the sarcophagus, but also its two clones. At the same time, the “boss” quite often uses his “scream”, which knocks you over and makes it impossible to move for a while. After the battle, search the enemy’s corpse. From it you will take part of the artifact that we are looking for when traveling along the Skyrim. The amulet of Goldur has become one step closer, and to search for it we are sent to a new location of the game - the cave of Saartal.
In the depths of Saartal
Further our path lies to the north of the country, and it is there that we will go to get the amulet of Goldur. Skyrim includes several factions - Thieves, Mages, Assassins, Companions, Bards and Blades, and in order to continue the quest, we need to join the ranks of magicians. We go to the collegium of Winterhold and go through the first lessons. The field of this will start the quest "In the depths of Saartal." We leave for the place, and go on an excursion in the company of the same students. At some point, Dovakin will fall into a trap, you can get out of it by putting on the found amulet and applying any spell of the School of Destruction.
In the next room, you will have a conversation with one of the Psijic Order. Then several durgurgs will appear, and after defeating them you need to go to the next room. To solve the puzzle with stones, choose a combination - fish, bird and snake. After solving the puzzle, some pretty strong opponents will appear, so do not relax. In the next cave, you will find the main battle with the boss of the location - Yurik Goldurson. The appearance of Tolfdir will be a great relief, because with this powerful magician you will quickly win. Take the rest of the body of the defeated enemy. But the quest is not over yet, because the amulet of Goldur must be put together.
Mission finale
To complete the quest, go to the cave "Lake Cliff", the entrance to which is hidden behind a waterfall. Inside you will find the Emerald Dragon Claw, as well as the note “Ancient Decree”. In order to go through the door, study the signs on the emerald artifact and apply this combination to the puzzle rings (bear, fish, snake). In the next room, open the passage with a bone claw (bird, bird, dragon).
The road will lead you to a large hall with a table with stands. Put on them the parts of the artifact, after which it will be necessary to fight off several ghosts. After the battle, the spirit of the wizard will appear, which will collect all the parts into the amulet of Goldur.
