Sushi sticks are a versatile craft material. Many useful things can be made of them. The main thing is to be careful and patient.

Yes, super-glue will not help to make a good craft, since patience to hold fragments tightly for several seconds so that they stick together is not enough even for the most calm person. If you like Asian food and collect chopsticks, the craft will cost you almost no cost (provided that you have the tools, of course). There are many options for what can be made from chopsticks for sushi. Crafts are beautiful and original.
Materials and tools:
- a wooden circle with a circumference of 30 cm or more;
- 30 sticks;
- cloves, wood glue or hot glue;
- measuring meter;
- pencil;
- hammer;
- sandpaper.
Buy a wooden circle at a hardware store. If you live in a private sector or you have friends from the countryside, ask them to cut a circle out of a thick tree branch. Sand it with sandpaper so that it is even and smooth and does not leave splinter in your hands.

Now take the cloves and hammer. Fasten the sticks in a circle. Better to pre-calculate the interval between them. From chopsticks for sushi, crafts are best developed in advance on paper.
Measure the circumference and the width of the sticks, divide the first into the second. For example, if the circumference is 25 cm, and you have 30 sticks 0.5 cm wide, then the interval will be about 3 mm, that is (25 cm - 30 * 0.5 cm): 30 cm.
To make it convenient to mark the location, use the meter that is used for sewing.

Crafts from do-it-yourself sushi sticks are easy to make. Each of us in childhood made bird feeders, cutting them out of bottles or boxes from juice or milk. But what if you try to do something more complicated?
Materials:
- 3 soda cans or copper sheets (you can buy them at a hardware store);
- 7 sticks;
- scissors for metal;
- pencil and ruler;
- drill and drill;
- stationery buttons and cloves;
- pliers.

Use tin snips to remove the neck and base of the three cans (if you use them).
Make an incision along each side to make 3 flat rectangular sheets. Each should be about 217 x 88 mm in size.
You need to flatten one sheet. Drill four holes with a diameter, like with sticks, so that you can stick them there. Cut two strips and make holes in them too.
Wrap two sticks tightly around the edges of the tin sheet. Trim everything that sticks out if it bothers you. From sushi sticks, crafts are usually neat, if the master has skillful hands. But if the sticks stick out crookedly, it's better to cut them off.
Take one of the remaining sheets and cut out two rectangles measuring 127 mm x 39 mm.
Fold each rectangle twice, bending 13 mm on each side to form a long, thin strip.
Drill holes through the ends of each strip with a diameter of a stick. Insert the strips at the ends in the same way as you did the roof.
Getting to the bottom of the feeder. Take the last sheet and make an even rectangle out of it. Cut out of tin, like paper, a box with low walls. At the edges, mark the location of the cuts. When you pass them with scissors, the boots can be bent so that you get a box. Then it is better to draw hot glue or PVA along the edges, or bend them so that the birds do not get hurt when they regale themselves with a treat.
Bend the corners with pliers so that the box does not open, or fasten it with a stapler. An ordinary stapler can pierce a can - its thickness is small.
Drill holes in the walls so that you can push the push pin through them.
When you made strips for the roof frame, you should have left a little tin, use it so that you can make mounts for another stick, on which birds can land.
Household use
Crafts made from bamboo sticks from sushi will decorate your home. In addition, sticks can be useful in everyday life. Neat planed and non-planed, they will not spoil your interior.
Not enough skewers on the barbecue? Soak the sticks in water for 15 minutes, and then use them to pierce the meat and vegetables, then place on the brazier.
Support the plants. It is convenient to stick them into the ground and tie trunks of small plants to them. Insert sushi sticks into the soil near the spindle-shaped seedlings to give it the necessary support.
If the hole into which the screw is screwed in is too wide, the sushi sticks will be very helpful. Insert it into the hole and fill the remaining space with glue. When everything is dry, cut off the excess. Now in this place you can drill a hole again.
Sticks are conveniently used to mix paint. Plain gouache in a small jar or paint for walls or floors. Crafts made from Chinese chopsticks for sushi is not the only option how to use the waste.
