Tea rose in your home

When a man brought a rose to the king in ancient India, he was allowed to ask for everything he wanted ... According to Indian myths, the beauty goddess Lakshmi, the wife of Vishnu, came out of the rose. In the Indian tradition, the rose is considered sacred and symbolizes the divine mystery.
An ancient Greek legend says that the Earth decided to create a rose when it first saw Aphrodite. Aphrodite, emerging from the foam of the sea, was so beautiful that the Earth wanted to produce something like her. And the roses remained white until the beloved Aphrodite was mortally wounded. The desperate goddess ran in search of him on the stones and thorns, stained with her blood rose petals in scarlet color.

Tea roses are the most beautiful flowers that we give each other in bouquets for the holidays. They can be bought cut off, but in this case the flower pleases us only for one week. They can be grown in the garden, but for this you need to have your own plot and regularly look after it. And you can grow this magic plant in room conditions. Of course, this is a very difficult task. Tea rose is quite capricious and prone to pests. But experienced flower growers will take great pleasure in communicating with this fragile plant.

Every lover of flowers can grow evergreen roses at home, actively blooming all year round. Usually, these are varieties of tea roses, hybrid tea or polyanthus. All these main varieties of roses are crossed many times, getting new unusual forms. As a result, the rose family has a wide variety, and each grower chooses the most attractive varieties for himself. But, when buying yourself roses of an unfamiliar variety, be sure to specify what climatic conditions they are designed for, and how to care for them.

It is best to grow roses from cuttings so that they grow on their own roots. At home, only small dwarf roses are grown, the height of which does not exceed 20-30 cm.

Planted in a garden, a tea rose can have up to sixty petals; its flowers can grow up to 12 cm in diameter. These plants reach from 90 to 180 cm in height and grow 120 cm wide. But for this, their roots must go deep into the ground, and this is impossible in a flower pot or indoor planter. Flowers of room roses can be of various shapes and colors, but all of them are united by a light aroma of tea.

The most favorable place for a room rose will be a sunny, cool window sill. Tea rose does not tolerate drafts. You can put this plant in a warm room, but then it must often be sprayed with cool water. In winter, it is recommended to keep these flowers at a temperature of +10 degrees, and in summer - to bring them to the balcony. Indoor shallow rose requires abundant watering and enriched soil. Flowers should grow in small pots and regularly fed with mineral fertilizer, only then they can bloom beautifully and plentifully. The best soil for roses is a mixture of two parts of a greenhouse humus with two parts of a mixture of sand mixed with bird droppings and clay. It is good to take land from under the nettle. As you know, nettle grows abundantly only on soil rich in nutrient elements. In spring, indoor roses need to be trimmed, and during the year do not forget to remove dried buds from the plant.

The main pests that the tea rose is susceptible to are aphids, spider mites and rose sawflies. To control pests, the plant is washed with soapy water or a solution of garlic.

It is better to transplant roses in August. Do not forget that for growing indoor roses it is not recommended to use large pots. Planted in large flower pots, these plants produce fewer flowers and leaves.
With proper care and adequate nutrition, indoor tea rose can grow and bloom for six years. Decorate your life with exquisite flowers - grow indoor roses in your home!
