Veil is the unofficial name of the chocolate city. This story dates back to 1997, when a confectionery factory from German manufacturers opened here. A trip to the city is often called a "sweet journey."

A monument to the chocolate fairy is erected in Pokrov. Structures similar to this sculpture throughout the Russian Federation cannot be found. Given that this bronze surface is already a little worn out, we can conclude that many superstitious tourists come here. It is noteworthy that the tile is a Milka chocolate. This is also a kind of hidden advertising.
Chocolate Museum
When considering the sights of the Veil, you must definitely say about the Chocolate Museum. Its opening took place on March 12, 2004. This institution presents the whole history of chocolate, which lasts more than 4 thousand years. The third part of sweet tiles produced in the Russian Federation is made here.
It is located in two rooms of the museum of local lore. There are exhibits on how Indians collect cocoa beans. Currently, this museum is very famous. The peak of popularity came in the period when he won in 2003 in the competition of tourist expositions held in this region. At that time, he was a modest provincial institution that glorified the city of Pokrov, Vladimir Region. Sights restored several years ago. The museum also did not pass by. In 2010, it was reconstructed, and it became a more modern, modernized complex using the “smart home” technology. It also offers to enjoy a hot chocolate drink and watch the original “sweet” fountain, which has no analogues in the country.
Museum of Local Lore

Holy Vvedensky Monastery
The sights of the Intercession are very diverse, so there are even for believers. What is it about?
A special attraction for Orthodox tourists is the Vvedensky Monastery, located on the island of Lake Vvedensky. It was founded, according to official figures, in 1708 by the monks Sergius and Timothy. For many centuries he had his own treasury, in the possession of agricultural land and forests. A school was operating under him, with 13 pupils (mainly boys) attending. However, after the revolution, it was closed, and the property was nationalized. Religious services were held in several parts of the building for several years, thanks to two abbesses. And the remaining rooms began to be used as homes for the elderly and disabled. After a certain period of time, an orphanage was opened here. Years later, an educational colony for teenage girls opened on the territory of this monastery. Also, a school was opened for these juvenile delinquents by removing domes from churches. And in one of them a cinema hall began to work.
After the collapse of the Union, the temple began to gradually return to its religious destination. This lasted a long time, since during the Soviet period museums, gyms, clubs, and workshops were built here. One part was made a female monastery, the destroyed bell towers were rebuilt. The first church service was held on Orthodox Christmas in 1995.
The cathedral

It was built in the second half of the 17th century on the site of a burnt wooden church. Currently, thanks to the restoration, this cathedral is in good condition and attractive in its architecture.
Kirzhach
The city of Pokrov, Vladimir Region, whose sights are of particular importance, is the location of an important memorial. It is located on the road to Kirzhach. Many people know that it was in this area that the tragic death of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin took place. This memorial is presented in the form of a stele 16 meters long. Next to this place, where once the plane crashed, on which the great astronaut flew, there are St. Andrew's Church and the museum.
