Every year in our country, many sports facilities are opened in which everyone, regardless of age, can engage in their favorite sports. But today we want to talk about the Ice Palace in Odintsovo, which was built back in 2000, and today is experiencing its rebirth.
A bit of history
In Odintsovo near Moscow, they love sports and enjoy doing it in their free time. The ice palace in the city was inaugurated in early 2000. However, according to experts, the pace of construction did not allow to think through the subtleties of the design of this institution.
Athletes noted the lack of locker rooms, there were no comfortable conditions for fans and spectators. The quality of construction work, lighting, technical equipment of the complex, "manual ventilation" caused a lot of complaints. Within the framework of the existing construction, many experts considered it impossible to significantly improve the complex. Designers thought it was easier to demolish the Ice Palace in Odintsovo and build a modern transformer in its place.
Nevertheless, Andrei Ivanov (the head of the administration) set the task for the builders to carry out the maximum possible reconstruction of the structure as soon as possible. Only three summer months were allotted to it. In the sports sections of figure skating and hockey of the Ice Palace in Odintsovo, more than 600 children are engaged, so on September 1, according to tradition, they had to start classes. In this short period of time, builders managed to do the seemingly impossible.
Transformation
Two existing ice arenas of the Ice Palace in Odintsovo were surrounded by particularly strong modern barriers. High-quality lighting and ventilation were made in the auditorium and in the training rooms. A new technique appeared in the palace: two ice-filling machines from Canada, which replaced the obsolete ones that had been working here since the opening.
But the most important innovation, according to young athletes, was the opening of the Hockey Excellence Center. Novice athletes and professionals will be able to improve their performance here. The NHC (National Hockey Center) is equipped with unique diagnostic and training equipment, which was produced in Slovakia. Using special sensors, the athlete after the training receives a report on the level and quality of training, what indicators are normal, and what should be paid attention to.
Mass skating
On holidays and weekends in the palace on the training field, mass skating with musical accompaniment is held. One session lasts 60 minutes. Ice is poured every hour. The staff on the Ice Palace is keeping order on ice. If injured, professional doctors will assist the victim.
Dry room
Another innovation of the Ice Palace in Odintsovo is a dry hall for training young skaters. Here, for the future winners of the competition, excellent conditions have been created: spacious and bright changing rooms, a convenient training room with good ventilation, places for spectators and parents who want to watch small stars.
"Onion"
In the old palace was a grandiose and almost always closed for special services dining room. Today it was replaced by a nice and very cozy cafe "Lukovka", which opened its doors on the second floor of the building.
In addition, there is always a sports equipment store in the lobby. It existed before, but it was impossible to get into it, because its doors were always closed, and Odintsovo athletes went behind the shields or laces to the capital.
