The fourth part of the GTA series, like everyone else, received great popular love, and with it many modifications. Players can change almost anything they want: weapons, cars, buildings, character models, and so on. In this article, we will consider weapon mods in GTA 4 and how to install them.
Single modifications
As a rule, most players install mods one at a time, since in large sets there is a chance of errors. Also, some of the solutions of complex add-ons may not appeal to the player.
In such cases, it is best to choose the mod that you like best. In the case of the weapons arsenal, modifications change the appearance (skin) and sometimes the sound of shots. Textures have high resolution and excellent detail. The best effect can be obtained with a comprehensive update of the graphics. For example, put high-resolution textures on the entire game, set ENB and turn on the maximum graphics settings.

Similar weapon mods in GTA-4 can be found on any thematic resource. You can install them through the openIV program. In it, you need to open the weapons.img file and replace the necessary gun.
Packs of models
The second category is packs with automatic installation. One of these is the "Pak weapons from GTA 5 v2". The modification changes all models of weapons to options from the GTA-5. To install, you just need to download the executable file and start the installation.
The second option is to install GTA V Weapons Big Pack, which is one of the largest mods. The weapon pack for GTA-4 not only changes the standard textures, but also adds new types of guns. To get them, you need to go into the game after installing the mod and press the F3 key. In the menu that appears, select the Select Episodic Weapons section, after which we find the desired weapon in the list using the NUM 4 / NUM 6 keys. To select the gun, press NUM 5.
Although the appearance of the weapon is a trifle in a third-person game, when creating screenshots or a detailed examination, the low quality of the textures becomes noticeable. If you thoroughly modify the game, then the poor appearance of the weapon will be striking, therefore it is recommended to install the pack on high-quality models!
