On May 29, 2000, a web resource such as “Samizdat” appeared on the Web - a platform for poets and writers that allows you to post your works for free.
On “Samizdat” many contemporary authors publish their works. One of them is science fiction writer Mikhail Gornov. At the moment, three complete, about five unfinished Internet novels and about a dozen paper books have been published under his name.

Not much is known about the biography of Mikhail Gornov. According to the information indicated on the writer’s page on the Samizdat website, he has been creating fantasy novels for quite some time. Most of the time, Mikhail Gornov co-authored with another writer, publishing works under a common pseudonym on the same Samizdat web site.
However, for certain reasons, co-author Gornova stopped writing, and the existence of their creative tandem ceased. Subsequently, Mikhail Gornov created his own page on “Samizdat” and began publishing novels there, written by him without the participation of a co-author.
Basically, the writer creates in the genres of science fiction and combat. In addition to the name "Mikhail Gornov", some of his novels are also placed under the pseudonyms "Makhalych M.", "Mikhailov M.", "Mikhas" and others.
The last update on the writer’s page is dated April 16, 2014. Currently, Gornov is writing for publishers - his last novel, entitled “The Greatness of the Master”, was released in 2018.

The most popular work of the writer is the dilogy “Space Adventurer from the Earth”, published under the pseudonym Mahalych Mikhas.
The first book of dilogy takes place in an alternative reality in the near future (2029), when the expanses of the galaxy plow spaceships, and the answer to the question of whether there is life on other planets other than Earth is quite obvious: yes.
The protagonist is a 31-year-old earthling named Anton Rodionovich Artemyev. He is an astronaut who, shortly before the beginning of the story, was on Mars as part of an expedition.
However, something happened on the red planet, and by the will of circumstances Anton Artemyev got on an unknown spaceship that delivered an earthling beyond the limits of the Solar system. Artemyev will fight the galactic pirates, make new friends and enemies and get answers to many of his questions about space.
The second novel by Mikhail Gornov’s dilogy, “Space Adventurer from Earth 2”, is not yet completed. It, as in the first part, tells about the adventures of Artemyev in the unexplored part of the Galaxy by people.
"Captain"
Another series of Gornov’s novels is The Captain, whose second book is also not finished.
The Captain’s universe resembles the era of piracy of the 16th-18th centuries with an admixture of magic and more modern technology. The main character is a Slavar Karbash, a fighter who, for some unknown reason, finds himself in an alternative reality aboard the airship and is forced to fight with pirates attacking him.
