Before the first frosts in late October, the film is removed.
In the spring, when the snow had melted, but the earth had not yet warmed up, the film was returned to its place. Under it, the soil thaws faster, and the seeds of weeds begin to sprout. A week before planting garden crops, the earth is dug up, thus removing all sprouted weeds. After digging, the beds are again covered before planting.
Weed control on the lawn, near the fence, between the beds is carried out by chemical preparations. The main thing at the same time is to destroy the peduncles so that the seeds do not scatter throughout the garden area. As a chemical preparation, for example, Roundup can be used. In this case, careful weeding is carried out between the beds. This favorably affects the number of weeds not only in the current, but also in the next season.
So, so that garden weeds do not clog your crop, there’s no reason to always dig the land and litter it with chemicals. It is much easier to prevent their seeds from getting into the garden.
