The question arises: puppeteer-grass - where does it grow? It grows in floodplain meadows and clearings. Avoiding dry plots of land, prefers places with a close occurrence of groundwater. The plant grows in the European territory of Russia, in the Caucasus, in Asia Minor, in the Far East, in Western and Eastern Siberia.

Puppeteer is a herb whose rhizome has long been used in folk medicine for the treatment of neurological diseases, rheumatism. In addition, infusions from this herb are used to treat pneumonia, as an antipyretic, and also to treat eczema and even typhoid.

The puppeteer grass, photos of which you see in the article, is very poisonous. In modern medicine, it is prohibited for use as a component in various active food additives. The root of the puppeteer contains about six different alkaloids that affect the gastrointestinal tract and the cardiovascular system and are able to suppress the central nervous system. The puppete grass is so poisonous that a few grams of the fresh root of the plant can kill an adult horse. The content of poison in the root is especially high in the autumn and spring, which accounts for the collection of this drug. Greens are poisonous in the initial period of growth - in the early spring, when the leaves have not yet developed. The collected leaves and roots are dried in a well-cooked room.

Alcohol treatment

However, this plant gained the most popularity among those who wish to cure their loved ones from drinking. The fact is that the puppeteer is a grass whose decoction from the roots of which is incompatible with alcohol and causes rejection by the body. It is assumed that the decoction of the root added to the alcoholic beverage will cause vomiting every time after consumption. An alcoholic, unaware of the true causes of this reaction of the body, will decide that he drank a poor-quality drink. If every drink of alcohol ends in vomiting, the drunkard will gradually begin to give up drinking alcohol and will finally get rid of this addiction. In mixing the broth with alcohol, there is another positive factor. The rejection reaction causes weakness, as a result of which the alcoholic's aggressiveness decreases.

Recipe

The recipe for making a decoction is very simple: a quarter cup of boiling water is taken on a teaspoon of crushed puppeteer roots (a little less than 10 grams). The broth is infused for an hour, and then filtered. Keep the broth in the refrigerator, out of the reach of anyone but you. In small doses (no more than 3-5 drops per meal), it is mixed into food. In total, the rate of decoction per day should not exceed 10 drops. This is a very strict dose, since exceeding it can lead to irreversible consequences.
