By October 20, the city was completely mired in muddy water, the Anapka River overflowed from the banks. A stream of water began to sweep rapidly along sections of roads, under which it was impossible to resist. Such strong flows formed for the first time. An emergency instantly hid the roads and surroundings of the city of Anapa. The flood caused damage to residents. Severnaya Street, the cottage village of Alekseyevka, the villages of Varvarovka and Anapskaya were severely affected by the water element. The movement of cars along Mirnaya Street was blocked. Transformer substations in the city of Anapa were flooded. Flooding damaged power lines.
Rescue operations
Vladimirskaya Street was severely damaged, in the area of which the city bakery is located. The cellars of pizzerias, cafeterias, shops were flooded. Warehouse food became unusable. Groceries disappeared on store shelves. Due to the obstruction of the trucks, they stopped delivering bread and fresh newspapers. The pavilions on the “hundred-meter” were completely washed away. Outlets in a few hours turned into aquariums. Many sellers quit jobs along with the goods.
