The tower defense genre has long been causing a storm of emotions among players around the world. At best, it’s a good time killer and easy fun. It is all the more interesting to observe projects that stand out from the total number of their own kind. One of these games was Kingdom Rush. Passing this game will give many hours of cartoon battles and positive emotions in a fantasy world.
Plot
As such, passing in the Kingdom Rush Frontiers is not. The game lacks breathtaking missions and a plot with unexpected outcomes. Instead, the developers offer a deep gameplay and mechanics that incorporate the best features of the genre. The poor variety of standard structures is compensated by numerous upgrades, unique soldiers and an affordable combat system.
Towers and wars
To start the game is to study the defensive towers. They play a major role in the game. Almost at every level there is an opportunity to choose one of the available options for further development. Each new plus of the tower is a changed appearance and improved characteristics. Moreover, the buildings do not look like slightly redone clones. Four types of tower buildings are initially available: archers, barracks, a magic tower, and artillery. Each type is good against a specific kind of enemies, so the combination of several structures is the key to victory.
Unique heroes who can freely move around the map, have their own set of characteristics, differ in strength and type of attack. In general, good units that can often decide the outcome of a battle. This is useful if several enemies managed to break through the defenses and not enough towers were set up in the depths. The hero crosses the entire map with lightning speed, ignoring almost any obstacles, and boldly meet the enemies. Heroes are gradually pumped up and by the final wave turn into thick-skinned bosses with a killer attack. The rich variety of enemies that noticeably differ in characteristics, drawn with understanding and love, is noteworthy.
Unfortunately, progress persists only within one specific location until the end of the round.
disadvantages
Of the minuses, we can highlight the lack of clearly formulated level design. Over time, the levels get bored, the locations become tedious and monotonous, but even this will not be able to affect the pleasure received from completing Kingdom Rush.
