Moisture resistant paint in construction

Such a concept as β€œpaint” has long been included in everyday life, and today it is widely used in construction. A large number of varieties of this product are known, for example, oil and water emulsion, adhesive or moisture resistant. Such a choice of finishing material makes it possible to implement absolutely any design solution, even the most creative or non-standard.

It should be noted that the repair work sooner or later requires any room. Consider what paints are used for this.

1. Moisture resistant paint . Well suited for the bathroom , because it is there that there is always a high level of humidity. Unlike other types of finishing materials, it serves for a long time, and the surface painted with it refreshes without much effort and expense.

Since the surface of the walls is porous, covering it with ordinary paints is risky enough, because water vapor accumulates in the pores, which evaporate over time, thereby contributing to peeling and cracking of the material. Moisture-resistant paint ( acrylic) has the ability to penetrate deep into the pores, it does not exfoliate from the base and does not crack with time.

It should be noted that in order to achieve good results, it must be remembered that the paint adheres well to the surface provided the latter is dry, as well as when priming it several times with products that have good water-repellent properties.

Thus, moisture-resistant paint is not afraid of water, creates a reliable coating, has resistance to wet cleaning, allows repainting without removing the previous layer. When purchasing this finishing material, you must also pay attention to its bacteriological resistance. Due to these properties, the paint is well suited for painting floors, walls and ceilings in rooms with high humidity.

2. Washable paint for walls. Suitable for all types of foundations, from asbestos cement to chipboard. Use it in rooms with low humidity. This finishing material makes it easy to remove impurities from its surface, since it contains latex, which creates a water-repellent film. In addition, it extends the life of materials and protects their plane from moisture.

At the same time, the surface treated with washing paint can be cleaned with cleaning and detergents, since the paint does not enter into chemical reactions with them. This should be done with a cloth or brush with a soft pile to prevent scratches. This type of finishing material can be applied only once, it is not necessary to apply several thick layers.

Thus, washable moisture-resistant paint has waterproof properties, it dries quickly and allows the removal of various kinds of contaminants from painted surfaces. It should be remembered that after finishing work, the paint is well closed, because it can dry, and stored for no more than a year, because after this time it loses all its properties.

3. Water-based facade paint. Such material is used for outdoor work in coating various materials: cardboard, wood, metal, concrete and other things. Facade paint has a unique palette, it has many advantages. So, it is high-tech, it can be applied both by roller and spray, since it has the ability to form a film at minimum temperatures. The composition of this material includes water (this ensures harmlessness and environmental friendliness), so the paint dries quickly.

Thus, facade paint does not require preliminary preparation of the painted areas. It is non-toxic, non-combustible, does not peel, is easily washed off the tool and hands, and also has a huge color gamut. The only negative is that it is not recommended to paint quickly contaminated surfaces, since it is not sufficiently resistant.
