For example, a DIY pillow monkey can be made in several ways: very simple and more complicated. Follow the recommendations and try to make an original gift yourself.

DIY fabric pillow

Any pillow can combine a functional purpose and be an element of decor. There are several options for making such a souvenir:

• A square or rectangular pillowcase is decorated with applique or embroidery in the form of an animal (realistic or cartoon).

14. Sew or glue plastic eyes. If there are no ready-made ones, you can embroider them.

How to make a pattern

1. Choose a suitable workpiece.
2. Print it on the right scale. If the sheet size is not enough for the whole part, print on several and glue it.

1. Cut out a head pattern with ears from paper.
2. Make two identical blanks of the head with ears from the fabric.
3. Before stitching items, perform tucks located on the top of the head.

The second, more complex option, can be done using more details:

1. Take part number 1, number 2 and number 3.
2. Cut out two parts number 1, four - number 2, and one - number 3.
3. Sew separately the ears from the folded two-piece parts No. 2.

1. Make two parts No. 4 (this will be the torso).
2. Sew the paired elements No. 5 and No. 6 of the palms and feet, respectively.
3. From parts No. 7 and No. 8, make legs and handles.
4. Sew all manufactured items in series with each other.

How to sew a simple pillow

The lightest (for beginners) DIY pillow-monkey can be made of fleece. This material is pleasant to the touch, soft, and most importantly - it allows you to sew parts even on the front side, as it does not crumble. Felt is also good.

Work like this:

1. Choose a simple pattern of the product, which will consist of two parts (squares, rectangles, circles, heads with ears).
2. Cut both parts according to technology.
3. Fold the elements with their faces outward and sew them with a decorative seam manually or on a typewriter. Before closing the seam, fill the product with synthetic winterizer.
4. Cut out the details of the muzzle from the same fleece (you can have a different shade) and sew them on the side of the pillow where the “facade” will be, or both, if they are supposed to be the same.

Toy pillow

Sew a monkey pillow with your own hands well and in the form of a full three-dimensional object. This option will be especially interesting for the child.

The product can be transformed from a toy into a pillow (laid out in a flat form due to detachable parts, made, for example, with Velcro). An interesting option is to make a pillow for the car, which is convenient for the baby on the road, and at home will play the role of a toy.
