This is a decorative element that is located at the top of the thing and can carry not only a decorative function, but also a practical one. Often, thanks to such a detail, a thing becomes longer, more spacious, which allows you to hide the minor imperfections of the figure. There are certain rules for the location of the coquette in a particular product, but often modern designers and dressmakers neglect them in order to create a certain effect or visually tear away the imperfections of the figure.
A coquette is the upper part of any product, over which there can be no belt or neck. If it is sewn to a blouse, blouse or sweater, then it must certainly be located between the shoulders. In this case, the product model will have an open neck and partially a neckline. In knitted sweaters, the round yoke most often appears, since it is simple to carry out this element of decor with knitting needles, and even more so with a crochet. If the item is sewn from ordinary fabric, then a similar detail can be given any shape - both round and with straight strict cut lines.
In products that are worn on the lower part of the body, the coquette is a part located between the waist and hips. Often, to correct the figure, this rule is neglected. For example, if a person is not tall, the line of the coquette is slightly overestimated, which visually makes his legs slimmer and longer. If the growth is too high, then the width of the coquette increases, which allows you to visually reduce the parameters. The fourth part of this decorative element looks even more original. Only in one of the shelves of the front can an extra insert be sewn by embellishing it with embroidery or beads. The second shelf in this case has an ordinary appearance, but the product as a whole acquires unique and very interesting features.
Finally, it is worth noting that when constructing a coquette, it is necessary to strictly take into account the parameters of the person who will wear the product. If the line of this element coincides with the place where the tucks are sewn (which happens most often), then they should be “grabbed” on the yoke itself.
