Visa Types:
Conditionally, visas to Denmark can be divided, depending on the length of stay in the country, into the following types:
- Transit visa (type "A") - a transit visa of the airport, issued to citizens who need to fly to other countries through the airports of countries that have signed the Schengen Agreement.
- Short-term visa (type "C") - the stay of the country on such a visa is allowed up to 90 days.
In turn, the visa "C" is divided into 4 groups:
C1 - stay in the country of the Schengen agreement for up to one month.
C2 - stay in the country of the Schengen agreement for up to 90 days, visa validity period - 6 months.
C3 or the so-called annual visa - you can stay in the country of the Schengen agreement for 90 days, the visa period is one year.
C4 - a long-term visa, all the same 90 days of stay, but the validity of the visa is up to five years.
- National visa (type "D") - issued in accordance with the laws of each specific country. The duration of stay on such a visa is from 90 days to three months. Usually issued for study or legal immigration.
The most common visas are type C visas, which are issued depending on the purpose: tourism, business trip, guest visa.
If a trip to Denmark is planned exclusively as a tourist, then the visa is issued by the travel agency itself. If a visit to the country is carried out by invitation or for the purpose of doing business, then a visa to Denmark is issued in person at the consulate.
