However, with the advent of hoses, accidents with explosions became more frequent. This is due to the fact that the connection process is quite simple, and they began to do the installation independently. Having no special skills, the “masters” do not tightly tighten the joints, do not replace leaky pipes in time. It happens that the hose begins to melt from an elevated temperature or braid, which is heated by stray currents. In addition, the gas hose is hidden in the wall or under the screed, in connection with which they do not notice when it has worn out and began to let gas through.
At the same time, this does not mean at all that the hoses are completely unsuitable for transporting gas. On the contrary, they are suitable, but when installing them, you must be as careful and careful as possible. And it is better to entrust the work to a qualified specialist.
What hoses are most often used for gas transportation today?
Rubber gas hose - this option is the easiest and cheapest. Although it is much thicker than the eyeliner for water, it is minimally protected from temperature extremes and mechanical stress. Until recently, braided rubber sleeves were popular. They differ from sewer hoses at the core of the structure. Most often it is made of polymeric materials, and the braid is made of steel. In some countries, the use of rubber hoses is prohibited by law.
A more practical and safer option is a gas bellows hose. Simpler versions of such a hose are presented in the form of a corrugated sleeve, while more modernized models are equipped with thermal protection valves. The latter model is much more expensive, but it can shut off the gas supply if the room temperature rises above the permissible value. Therefore, bellows hoses with dielectric properties are in greater demand than those without insulation.
But this does not mean that gas rubber and rubber-fabric hoses will cease to be used instantly. At present, GOSTs are of a more recommendatory nature than a mandatory requirement for implementation. Fortunately, most municipal services respond to such recommendations, which is why they are agitating the population to replace the gas hose with a bellows gas in their apartment.
At their core, all bellows hoses are noteworthy because they are practical for gas inlet. Since the hoses for gas and water are similar in appearance, each of the inlets is marked accordingly. Therefore, you should carefully study the places of their application and features. Remember that the inner diameter of the gas hose must be at least one centimeter, otherwise the gas distribution during the gas supply will not be enough for several burners and the oven to work.
