Oleg Ryaskov is a popular domestic writer, director, producer, screenwriter and cameraman. He has already written several novels, some of which he independently films. We will talk about the most striking facts of his biography in this article.

Writer Biography

Oleg Ryaskov was born in Moscow. He was born in 1961. His parents were nuclear engineers and worked at the Physics Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences. His maternal grandfather was a well-known lawyer in the capital, Pyotr Yakovlevich Bogachev, and his great-grandfather was a lieutenant general who distinguished himself in the battle of Deva Boyne in the Russian-Turkish War in 1877.

From early childhood Oleg Ryaskov was fond of music, drawing, and then photography. After school he entered the Moscow Architectural Institute. As a student, he began working as a cameraman, and soon became a director in the television application for the then popular magazine "Twinkle". This project brought together many creative people who made a successful career in film and television in the future - these are Vladimir Molchanov, Konstantin Ernst, Urmas Ott, Nikolai Nikolaev.

Then, on the TVC channel, it works with producer Vladimir Yakovlev and popular singer Lev Leshchenko on one of the first musical projects on Russian television called “Military Field Romance”. In 1998, he was awarded the first prize at the international film festival in Volgograd "Eternal Flame".

Since the beginning of the 2000s, Ryaskov began to shoot series. His first project is an 8-episode children's series based on the book by Professor Chaynikov by Eduard Uspensky. The hero of our article directs the creation of the first few tens of films from the series "Secrets of the Century".

One of these films (The Death of a Poet) in 2003 was even nominated for a TEFI award. Since 2005, Ryaskov has devoted himself entirely to work on projects in the cinema.

One of his most successful and notable works to date is the adventure film "Servant of the Sovereigns." Oleg Ryaskov filmed in 2007 his own novel, written a year earlier. The film and the novel takes place in 1709 during the Northern War. The French king Louis XIV sends two officers, guilty of participation in a duel, to Charles XII and Peter I, so that they transmit personal letters from him and become observers at the opposing monarchs.

On their way there are many dangerous adventures that are life-threatening. Starring Dmitry Miller, Alexander Bukharov, Nikolai Chindyaykin. The film was so successful that it was purchased for display in 30 countries around the world, in Russia it was nominated for the MTV award.

In 2011, Ryaskov completed the film adaptation of another of his projects. These are two seasons of the serial film “Notes of the Forwarder of the Secret Chancellery” (in each of 8 episodes). For him, he receives a special award from the FSB of Russia. The actions of this picture unfold against the backdrop of a fierce confrontation between Prince Alexander Menshikov and the head of the Secret Chancellery Count Andrei Ushakov.

The plot is based on the adventures of Secret Office agents who carry out secret missions. Often the future of the state depends on them. The geography of their movements is very extensive. Heroes find themselves in the New World, London, even on a pirate island called Freeport. If the first season of this series consists of several detective stories, then the second is entirely devoted to the expedition that set off in the wake of the ships sent by Peter I to the shores of Madagascar.

Oleg Ryaskov began writing his first books in 2005. The first work was a collection of essays called "Secrets of the Century."

Then followed the novel "Servant of the Sovereigns", which brought him success as a director. In 2008, he wrote the novel "Captive of Three Worlds", and then two novels, "Notes of the Forwarder of the Secret Office."

In 2015, Ryaskov released a new work entitled "King of Madagascar." Now Oleg is just about to film him. Filming is scheduled for 2018, it is expected that stars of domestic and world cinema will take part in the work.

One of the latest novels by Oleg Ryaskov is Black Lake. It tells about the fate of several young people who decide to go to the lake to ride scooters, but everything changes due to a fateful accident. At a gas station, they meet with robbers, one of the girls from the company of the main characters is taken hostage.

The robbers are being chased by the police, but they don’t even know who is actually hunting for their prey. Ryaskov’s latest novel is currently called The Chance Factor. In it, the main character is a journalist who has to return to Russia to figure out the mysterious death of her husband.
