One of the main design elements is ceramic tile. The appearance of the room will depend on how it is laid. Layout tiles can be performed in several ways:
- Classical. This method is the most common. Square or rectangular tiles are laid on the wall in even rows. Usually used solid color material without a pattern. However, there are several decor options that combine tiles of various colors. The first method involves a color change based on contrast (dark-light). In this case, the border of the two shades should be separated by a border. In the second option, the layout of the tiles is carried out in such a way that the transition from one color to another is as smooth as possible (from the bottom - a dark shade, from above - light). At the same time, the walls can be decorated with tile inserts with a pattern. This will slightly increase the space.

- Vertical layout of tiles. It will be most beneficial to look in a room with a low ceiling. This method involves the use of a rectangular tile, which must be laid in a seam seam. At the same time, the decor of the room can be made both in a single color, and with some variations. For example, in the corners you can lay out vertical lines using a material that is the opposite of the base color. This will visually increase the height of the room. Layout tiles in the bathroom can be performed using zoning. For example, a ceramic tile of a color contrasting to the main one is attached to the entire width of the toilet bowl, bathtub and washbasin. Place transitions can be emphasized with the help of borders.
- Combined. This method will create an unusual and memorable interior. Layout tiles can be performed diagonally. It should be noted that this option is the most expensive. For laying, only a square tile is used, which is placed at a 45-degree angle relative to the floor.
- The layout of the tiles can be performed in a combined way. As the main coating, a square tile is used, and a rectangular one - for the design of horizontal and vertical lines of the opposite shade.
- Inverse styling. It allows using tiles of various colors to divide the room into zones. In this case, either vertical or horizontal tile laying is used.
- Chess. For this design solution, only a square tile of two contrasting colors is suitable. It is laid on the walls in a staggered way and is perhaps the simplest and most uncomplicated version of the decor.
- The layout options for tiles in the bathroom are quite diverse. Today, shearing is very popular. To implement it, you need a rectangular narrow tile. The methodology for implementing this option for wall decoration is similar to brickwork. Each tile is placed horizontally, slightly shifting it relative to the previous lower row. You can combine tiles of various shades and colors. This will create a unique beautiful surface.
