Probably few people from the generation of forty-thirty did not watch a fascinating film about the adventures of the robot boy Electronics in childhood. It was then, when in most settlements four channels were broadcast at best, all the children of the former USSR were eagerly awaiting the next series of the famous film. And it was a real feat for the kids then - to wait for the next show. All three episodes of the famous musical science fiction film, based on the work that Veltistov wrote, The Adventures of Electronics (a summary of which many of us remember), are watched, as they say, in one breath.
All heroes are good
Sweethearted heroes, even negative ones, still sometimes excite the imagination of former pioneers. How did the Weltists manage to achieve this? The Adventures of Electronics, whose main characters are not only slobber Serezha Syroezhkin and Robot El, but also the gloomy strongman Makar Gusev, and the sneaky Zoya Kukushkina, and the wise men Maxim Korolkov and Vitya Smirnov, convey all purity and naivety, but at the same time kindness and sincerity of adolescents. We must also give credit to the creators of the film - all these images were written by scriptwriters and directors surprisingly high quality.
Feature films are not filmed on a hunch. As a rule, each of them is based on a book plot. A film about a robot boy is no exception. It is based on the fantastic novel by Veltistov “The Adventures of Electronics”. Back in 1964, a Soviet writer created for teenagers his first work from the trilogy “The Boy from the Suitcase”. What is this novel about?
The first self-learning robot
So, a certain professor Gromov makes a serious discovery. He invents, in modern terms, a self-learning android robot. All his preliminary calculations are correct, and as a result of scientific research, it is possible to produce the first prototype of such an android. He was made very similar to a real Soviet schoolboy - Sergei Syroezhkin, whose portrait the professor saw on the cover of a children's magazine. The robot was executed so well that the professor, without thinking twice, called it an almost human name - El (shortened by Electronics).
E. Veltistov (“The Adventures of Electronics” - this is a science fiction novel) approached the question of creating and training a robot very seriously. He described in detail the work in the laboratory. Gromov and his assistant Masha tested the android’s intellectual abilities. The results were impressive. The biorobot brain worked at an amazing rate.
Escape Electronics
However, Gromov did not stop experimenting. After some time, it becomes clear that the resources of the laboratory are exhausted. Robot Electronics was getting cramped in the narrow information space that the professor and his assistant could provide.
What did Veltistov come up with? The adventures of Electronics, the summaries of which cannot be summarized in three words, continue in the wild, because the thirst for accumulating knowledge and the desire to escape from the confined space of the laboratory made the robot run. Once in a huge, hitherto unexplored world, at first he does not know what to do. However, a completely human feeling - curiosity - pushes Electronics to study everything that happens around.
Double meeting
The appearance of the robot did not distinguish it from other people (it was on this feature of the android that Evgeny Veltistov built the adventures of Electronics). Therefore, Professor Gromov, who, of course, was caught missing, immediately lost sight of him. An annoyed scientist could not understand why his brainchild decided to leave the laboratory. However, after some time, he decided that Electronics just got bored. He wanted new knowledge and impressions.

How could a Veltistov prototype and robot meet without meeting? The Adventures of Electronics, a brief summary of which can be expressed by the words “communication of an ordinary seventh grader Sergei Syroezhkin with a robot”, was written precisely for the sake of this meeting. And all the adventures just start with the clash of live and electronic boys. We already know why, externally, they are very similar to each other. Sergey is just glad to meet another friend, and for a robot such a meeting is an opportunity to adapt faster in a new world for him.
An electronic engineer is revealed to Syroezhkin, telling him that he is a robot. Syroezhkin is shocked, but not surprised for long. He has read many fantastic stories and knows about the concept of robotics. Checking the knowledge and power of Electronics, Sergey once again makes sure that he is dealing with a real android.
Substitution
E. Veltistov "The Adventures of Electronics" wrote about ordinary teenagers. In the process of communication of the boys it turns out that Sergei is not all right with his studies. This creates real problems for him both at school and at home. Syroezhkin has a cunning plan: to replace himself with a robot. Fortunately, they are almost the same person.
Under the pretext of developing communication skills, he offers Electronics to go to school instead of him. So he expects to solve several problems at once. First, significantly improve their affairs in terms of school performance. Secondly, to build relationships with parents who are shaken as a result of poor school. And, thirdly, to finally find personal freedom. Just the latter, according to Syroezhkin, is clearly not enough for him.
An electronics engineer designed to help people agrees without hesitation. Seryozha’s request just fits into his concept of knowledge of society.
From threesome to excellent students
And so began the adventures of Electronics (the content of his adventures occupies almost all three tales). Dressing as Syroezhkin, he goes to school. There, El quickly adapts due to Sergey's companionship status. The kind and responsive slob is quite popular in the school environment.
However, classmates soon saw dramatic changes that occurred with the three-year-old Syroezhkin. At a mathematics lesson, he brilliantly wrote a control, which threw the teacher into shock. He showed deep knowledge in literature, and at the drawing lesson he made an almost artistic portrait of the teacher he liked. Well, the new Syroezhkin and classmates and teachers completely conquered with his crazy power, which he demonstrated in a physical education lesson.
Electronics and parents Syroezhkina
The whole school did not cease to be amazed at such a transformation of yesterday's sloppiness and truant into an exemplary schoolboy. At the same time, his closest friends began to notice in him some strange behavior. Relations between pseudo-Syroezhkin and his mother are also improving. Mom does not cease to rejoice at her son, who finally took up the mind and began to diligently engage.
But relations with his father began to take shape strangely and unpredictably. Apparently, the image of the real Syroezhkin was not to the liking of a very harsh parent. The guy who spends all the time behind books to the detriment of communication with his father, began to alarm him. This is precisely how the need for human communication between the Weltists shows.
The Adventures of Electronics, a brief summary of which we are interested in today, tells of how genuine Sergei Syroezhkin enjoyed freedom. He spent whole days in the old garage, rode a moped and rested from school.
Wrong freedom
Over time, when the first rapture passed, Seryozha began to feel uneasy. From afar, he watched the robot communicate with his schoolmates. I noticed how his mother gently and lovingly looks at Electronics. Gradually, the guy came to the conclusion that the idea of substitution was not very successful.
How does the Weltist story reveal? The Adventures of Electronics, whose main characters are confused in their emotions, continues with a rather frank conversation for the children's book. Longing, Sergei expresses sore Electronics at the next meeting. He also quite seriously got used to the role. The robot likes to communicate in the school team and with the parents of Syroezhkin. The self-learning program increasingly makes it look like a person. He is almost experiencing emotions, and his desire to become a man is growing every day.
Man - that sounds proud
Internal conflict leads to the fact that the robot again runs away from people, and Syroezhkin has to literally win his name. All the guys help him in his studies, and the excellent marks earned by him once again confirm that the main thing is desire and willpower. Perhaps this is what Veltistov wanted to emphasize.
The Adventures of Electronics, reviews of which are only enthusiastic, also tells that even a robot, in a difficult situation, managed not to follow the gang of thieves, but acted “humanly”, preventing a crime being prepared.
The most interesting thing is that books about Electronics make you think. A lot of questions arise - from the desirability of creating robots like Al, to the possibility of completely replacing a person with a machine. And if so, what should people do? E. Veltistov, “New Adventures of Electronics” - a book written 20 years later. She continues to develop this topic. And, perhaps, the most important conclusion that everyone should come to is that human emotions and actions should serve only good and honest deeds.
