Step-by-step instructions for beginners and professionals:

  1. Measuring the waist, chest and hips.
  2. Determine the height of the barrel (measure the distance from the armpit to the waist). It should be noted what the length of the product should be at the end.
  3. Building a corset pattern. We draw the lines of the chest, hips and waist. There should be three of them. Between the 1st and 2nd we maintain the distance of the sidewall. Parts of the pattern will be called as follows: 1st central, 2nd central, 1st lateral and 2nd lateral.
  4. On the pattern we build the 1st piece of the pattern. It must be remembered that the solution of the tuck along the waist should be equal to one centimeter.
  5. We raise the center of the chest by one cm, and then shift it to the right by 7 mm. Next, draw a vertical strip through the marked point, reduce the volume under the chest.
  6. After that, the tuck solution is shifted to the line of the second relief by two centimeters. If you build the outline of the front cut on the very first side, then the parts overlap each other.
  7. Extend the front of the side near the armhole by one centimeter. We do it from below.
  8. Next, go to the back. Reduce it at the side armhole by one and a half centimeter, then add one centimeter at the bottom.
  9. We circle and cut out all the details. The corset pattern is ready.
  10. Further, all the details are swept away and applied to the figure. In the event that the corset will sit perfectly, then we, in fact, put in motion a sewing machine.
  11. After stitching, we iron and process the seams.
  12. If you want the corset to have bones, you will need lining fabric. The bottom layer of the product is made according to the same pattern. Seams are processed so that the final result is strips for inserting a metal or plastic frame.
  13. The last stage: on the back of the corset we make loops for lacing and insert it.
  14. Trying on a new thing!
