Among the various types of indoor plants, special attention is paid to violets. These small, neat beautiful flowering bushes cannot but attract. Many flower growers are engaged in breeding different varieties of these flowers, because they differ among themselves not only in the color of inflorescences, but also in the shape and size of the leaves. These plants do not cause trouble, they are easy to care for. Propagation of violets with a leaf allows you to get a dozen flowers from one bush in a short time. Propagation of violets with a leaf does not require special knowledge. For this, it is necessary to choose the most healthy and beautiful specimens, so that the “children” turn out to be “thoroughbred” and strong. Before planting, the stalk needs to be shortened a little so that later it does not have to be propped up with something. The length of the sheet does not affect the rooting rate or the number of children, therefore, with a clean, preferably new, blade, an incision must be made at an angle of 45 °, leaving only 2 - 3 cm of the cuttings.
So that the rooting process is faster and more “children” appear, you can perform a T-shaped cut of violets. Care and reproduction depend largely on the variety, but such an action will not hurt anyone. The cut is made at an angle of 90 °, and then the root is cut perpendicularly by 5 mm. Two halves in the earth move apart, thereby increasing the area for the development of the root system. "Kids" feel freer and grow faster.
Propagation of violets with a leaf is possible both in water and in the substrate. In the first case, it is necessary to pour boiled water into a small plastic cup or glass jar and add half a tablet of activated charcoal there. After the roots grow by two centimeters, you can plant indoor violets in cups with peat. Reproduction is also possible if you immediately plant an ordinary leaf in a peat mixture. Strongly deepen the stalk is not worth it, just plant it to a depth of 1 cm. The slope should be equal to 45 °, so you should put some kind of support.
The leaf needs to be properly watered, then covered with a bag to create a mini-greenhouse, and put in a warm and bright place. It is recommended to avoid direct sunlight. All this time the flower needs to be kept under a plastic bag, airing once a week for several minutes.
"Children" should be seated when two or more pairs of leaves appear on them. Each small violet must be planted in a separate cup, not deeply deepening the growth point. After transplanting, the plants need to be kept under the bag for another week, often airing, allowing them to get used to room temperature and humidity, and then it should be removed altogether. Propagation of violets with a leaf is completely not problematic and even interesting. As the "kids" grow, you need to do transshipment in pots with a large volume.
