Electrodes T-590 and their properties

For the Russian company Monolit, raw materials are supplied from Germany, Switzerland and Finland with the aim of manufacturing electrodes on modern high-quality equipment.

Electrodes "Monolith T-590" are available with a special coating. They are used for surfacing parts and restoring cast iron and steel products where increased hardness is required. Ideal for arc welding.

Application area

Electrodes T-590, the characteristics of which will be given below, have a wide scope.

They are well suited for large-scale work, for example, surfacing the teeth of an excavator bucket that works in sandy soil, as well as cheek crushers, plowshares, plows and many others. They are also used to repair small equipment. Such restoration helps to extend the life of metal products.

T-590 electrodes are used for manual arc welding of wear parts of machines. By type they belong to high-chromium cast irons.

Conditions of use

In order to make surfacing, it is necessary to clean the welded part from contamination, oil and rust. Also, it should not be surfaced in more than two layers on steel parts, and on cast iron - in one layer.

If the wear of the part is significant, it is better to use other electrodes for the lower layers, depending on the composition of the metal of the product.

T590 electrodes characteristic

The preliminary layer can be fused with electrodes "Standard RC", "Monolith RC" on such steels as low-alloy carbon. For steels alloyed with manganese, electrodes UONI 13/55 "Plasma" can be used.

Electrodes deposit metal with high wear resistance. It is prone to the formation of various small cracks measuring approximately 2 mm. However, this does not reduce the quality and durability of the restored part.

T-590 electrodes are widely used in the mining, agricultural and transport industries.

Special properties

If special alloying elements are introduced into the coating composition , high hardness is thereby imparted to them. However, a less ductile seam is obtained if it is not subjected to additional heat treatment.

Calcination before welding can be omitted if the storage conditions and terms have been met. In case of humidity, ignite for 60 minutes at a temperature of 240-260 ℃.

Surfacing should be done in the lower and inclined positions with small vibrations of the electrode or narrow rollers. The current must be constant with direct polarity.

T-590 electrodes are distinguished by characteristics and special properties from others. They provide a resistant deposited layer that is highly resistant to abrasion by various solid particles.

Advantages of surfacing electrodes

  • High wear resistance and hardness of surfacing.
  • Possibility of welding cast iron products.
  • Corrosion resistant seam.

Electrodes

T-590 welding electrodes are very popular due to their universal properties. The quality of this brand is checked by repeated tests and confirmed by positive customer reviews.

Products are packed in special packs weighing 5 kilograms. On the corrugated cardboard the marking with the technical parameters of welding is printed. Covered in a special shrink film for maximum safety.
