There is such a modern, fairly well-known writer named John Green. Books, a list of which we will consider, are his authorship. Some of them are already filmed. Others may also be: at least fans are looking forward to it. Why are they so wonderful? Should I read them? We will try to answer these undeniably important questions.
"Blame the stars"
This is one of the most famous works that John Green wrote. All the books, the list of which is presented below, are no worse, but this one became especially popular after the film that was released a little over a year ago - a heartfelt love story of two teenagers suffering from a terminal illness. Neither Hazel nor Augustus are going to give up so easily, although they know that cancer will defeat them sooner or later. But now they are young and loved - and they live, trying to enjoy every day. And what will happen in a second? When exactly will this bomb explode, sweeping away everything in its path? Is it worth it to think about it and waste your time?
The film "Blame the Stars" was a hit - this is the case when the film adaptation did not spoil the original at all.
"Paper cities"
A screen version of this book was released this summer - in the wake of the popularity of what John Green wrote, books (the list of books, however, includes not only those that “know everything”) quickly began to be converted into scripts for films. However, this is good.
“Paper Cities” is a story about an unusual girl Margot, and about the usual, but over the ears boyfriend in love with her, Kew. One fine (or terrible?) Day, Margo disappears, although not without a trace - she leaves behind clues. Does this mean that Kew should find her?
"Finding Alaska"
The title evokes thoughts that they are also looking for someone in this work. What kind of Alaska was John Green writing about? The books we are looking at are so similar to each other? Of course, the author unites them, and the fact that they are all for teenagers, and even there (often even more) a love line slips, but only searches in Alaska are metaphorical. And Alaska itself is a girl. Miles, nicknamed Tolstyachok, is in love with her - a mysterious, inaccessible, comparable, perhaps, with a hurricane, while he himself is "drizzle". And although a private school, friends and first love should promise only joy and fun, in adulthood fate can plunge headlong in the most harsh and brazen way.
"Numerous Katerina"
Still likes to write about the mysterious ladies, John Green. The books, the list of which is given in this article, tell the same story about different things, but these female images are somewhat similar to each other.
Colin, a young man with outstanding abilities, goes on a trip with his friend. To solve the riddle of numerous Katerin - is this the power of the extra-coder? One way or another, this trip will more than change his life.
"Let it Snow"
This work was written not only by John Green. Books (though the list is not numerous, but each of them is definitely worth attention) mentioned above is even somewhat different from "Let it Snow" in style, composition, etc. Co-authors were Johnson Maureen and Miracle Lauren. The book has three parts - each part was written by a different writer. The second part was created directly by John Green himself. All the author’s books are written about love, and this one is no exception.
Here, a fairy tale and a Christmas atmosphere are mixed with a wonderful feeling. Three writers give readers charming stories about a miracle, the protection of fate and that love can melt any snowfall and defeat any hurricane.
Features
As you can see, the list was not too long. But what matters is not quantity, but quality? And there is no doubt about it. All that John Green wrote - the books the list of which is presented above - is definitely worth reading. And for good reason.
Despite the fact that in each of the works there is a love line, books are not only about relationships - on the contrary, they occupy a weak background in the plot. General human, almost global problems come to the fore - questions about life and death, about meaning, about goals, about who we are. And this despite the fact that teenage books, written in easy, simple language, are interesting to young people and even children of high school age, and talk about such important things. John Green found an amazingly unique approach to the new generation - his works are actually interesting, but they are also very instructive.
Finally
The main advantage of this writer’s books is that he does not impose his opinion - he reasones, and when reading, you begin to think with him. You come to some conclusions almost unconsciously, you swallow chapter by chapter - they are so easy to read. That's why the “Blame the Stars”, and “Numerous Katerina”, and “Paper Cities” along with the restless “Alaska” are required to be read not only by adolescents for whom they were actually written, but also by fully grown-up people — they will help to remember about things that are so easy to forget in the rhythm of this crazy modern life.
