Perhaps there is no person in our country who did not read the works of Nosov in his childhood or did not know at least one hero of his wonderful books and stories. This article is about an amazing children's writer, Nikolai Nikolaevich Nosov.
Writer's childhood
Nikolai Nosov was born in Tsarist Russia, in the beautiful city of Kiev, on November 23, 1908. The writer's childhood and youth were associated with the small town of Irpin, located near Kiev. Nicolas's father was a variety artist, and, most likely, the boy inherited a vivid imagination from him. After Nosov’s death, an autobiographical novel, The Secret at the Bottom of the Well, was published, where he described his childhood.
Being passionate and quickly carried away by nature, little Kolya tried to make music, but quickly realized that this was not for him. He was very fond of theater, played chess well, was interested in electrical engineering, photography and chemistry.
The childhood and youth of the writer fell on very difficult years - the First World War and the Civil War, revolution. From the age of 14, he began to work to help his family, and after graduation he became a laborer.
The writer graduated from the Moscow Institute of Cinematography and 19 years old, until 1951, worked as a director of scientific, animated and educational films.
Self awareness and imagination
According to the writer's recollections, he began to realize himself and the things around him by the age of four. The objects surrounding the boy possessed a character for him and his own special life. The cupboard is immersed in a thought and speaks a strange creaking language, the buffet is a frivolous creature, and the chairs are like two prim aunts who really want to gossip, but they should not be shown that they may be interested in all sorts of trifles. All these childhood impressions then greatly helped the writer, and some of them later became part of Nosov's works for children. For example, we can recall one of his famous stories “Hat”. In it, the boys in the first place do not think about the fact that a kitten hid under it, but in a panic decide that she came to life. In general, it must be said that all the stories of Nosov show an excellent knowledge of child psychology.
The beginning of the creative path
Nosov's debut as a writer took place in 1938. It was the story of The Fans. The author was then 30 years old. As the writer himself admitted, his arrival in literature is an accident. The little son demanded more and more new tales and interesting stories, and Nosov began to compose them first for him, and then for his friends. The writer realized that this work requires great knowledge and understanding of child psychology. And most importantly - respect. And with such great love and attention to children, all the works of Nosov are permeated.
The first storybooks
Then there are other children's stories by Nosov - "Living Hat", "Mishkina porridge", "Cucumbers", "Fantazers". Each of them was already looking forward to the little readers, who immediately praised the works of the new writer. They printed it then in the best children's magazine “Murzilka”. A little later, these stories were combined into a still thin book, Tuk-tuk-tuk. This event did not happen immediately, in 1945. But a year later, a new collection of funny stories by the writer appears - “Steps”.
One after another, the works of Nosov come out. Their list is extensive:
- "Bobik visiting Barbosa."
- "A fun little family."
- "Funny stories."
- "Vitya Maleev at school and at home."
- "The Diary of Kolya Sinitsyn."
- "Gardeners".
- "The Adventures of Kohl Cranberry."
- "Telephone".
- "Wonderful pants."
Nosov’s works are popular with children, but universal popularity comes to him after the publication of the novel “Vitya Maleev at School and at Home”. Based on a completely ordinary story about a schoolboy and his studies, the writer was able to write about the real, real life of ordinary boys, sincere and naive.
Tales of Dunno
Even those who do not know the writer Nosov have heard of Dunno, the most famous and beloved literary character in children. The author characterized his hero as follows: “This is a generalized idea of a child with an irrepressible thirst for activity, with a great desire to find out everything, but at the same time unassembled and unable to keep his attention. This is a completely normal normal child. He has wonderful inclinations that he will develop in the future, and shortcomings that need to be addressed. ”
Dunno - a representative of the people of shorties living in beautiful cities with poetic names Floral, Sunny. Very active and cheerful, the main character sincerely wants to help all his friends, but because of his restlessness and rush, he constantly renders them bearish services. Friends forgive Dunno, although his actions often cause great trouble. In total, the writer created three stories about little men.
By the way, Nosov did not come up with the name for his hero himself, but borrowed from a book about forest people. There Dunno was not the main character, but one of the most insignificant. The writer never hid this fact. This, by the way, is now preventing Nosov’s heir, his grandson, from fighting piracy regarding his grandfather’s work. Several times his claims were rejected with the wording that Dunno was not invented by Nikolai Nosov.
They say that the restless little man was written off by the writer from his son Petit, and he presented the hero to the hero Nosov, because he himself loved to wear them.
Heroes of Nosov
The most amazing thing is that all of Nosov’s works, which are considered funny, were not written by him at all for laughter and entertainment. He never set himself the task of making the reader laugh. Nosov described the usual everyday life of children, filled with victories and failures, small discoveries and the great joy of life. Even if the heroes of his works are lazy or losers, they still cause sympathy because they sincerely repent of their actions.
Screen adaptation of works by Nosov
According to the writer's books, 6 feature films and a huge number of animated films were shot. Among them are two series about the adventures of Dunno.
The work of the remarkable writer Nikolai Nosov is in demand even now. His books are still popular and loved by young children and their parents, as they were many years ago.
The writer died on July 26, 1976. On his monument at the Kuntsevo cemetery, an image of Dunno is printed.
