The status of a citizen in any country in the world is determined by the presence of his rights and obligations, which are provided for by certain laws. The constitutional rights of citizens are reflected in the basic law, which by importance makes them higher than any other requirements. Everything that is adopted at the level of laws in various organizations, state structures, must first of all comply with the rights that are defined in the Constitution.
Basic rights
To have a general idea of the scope of rights granted, it is important to talk about the basic ones. It is worth noting that the constitutional rights of citizens of the Russian Federation fully comply with all the norms of the most significant international documents in this area, to which our country has also joined.
Political Rights
In this area, citizens have impressive capabilities. The key one is the right to elect, as well as to be elected. This can be limited only by the capacity of the person and the fact that it is necessary to reach a certain age. It may be different, depending on the position claimed by the citizen. In addition, everyone can gather for rallies, marches, etc., create associations, including political parties, apply with a statement, complaint, and appeal to state bodies. The constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens in this area are quite broad and are not limited to what I have listed.
Economic rights
They must in some way be connected with the economy or production, and therefore have such a name. The constitutional rights of citizens here are an opportunity to have property in private ownership. Moreover, the person who owns the thing has the right to do with it everything that he wants: to make any transaction, remake, improve or even destroy it. In addition, the right of entrepreneurship is highlighted in this area, as well as the fact that goods, services and money can freely move throughout the country.
Social rights
An extensive group, which is characterized and follows from the social functions of the state, which are also reflected in the Constitution. The right to work, housing, decent pay, health care, and retirement are all constitutional rights. Citizens cannot be deprived of them if they need these rights. It should be noted that the exercise of all rights should ideally exist, but not all states can actually exercise them. For example, the program of relocation from dilapidated housing does not work at full strength, and a number of citizens in any case will live in an emergency fund.
Personal rights
Their peculiarity is that they apply not only to citizens, but to all people in general. The right to life, health, freedom, inviolability, as well as secrecy (personal and family) and protection. Such constitutional rights of citizens are the most important, as they relate directly to everyone. After all, there are those opportunities that are realized only by a limited number of people. For example, you can never be elected to a government agency, and it seems like this does not concern you in any way. With personal rights, such a situation is impossible.
