How to get an artifact
The ethereal crown is created in a special magic forge. For this you need the following materials:
- ethereal emblem;
- gold bar (2 pcs.);
- Dwemer ingot (2 pcs.);
- flawless sapphire (2 pcs.).
And to find the forge, you need to complete the mission "Lost in the Ages." This quest will become available after installing the Dawnguard add-on. In order to activate the mission, go to the Dwarven ruins of Arkntamz, which are located south of Markarth.
Inside you will meet a ghost - the adventurer Catherine, who died in this place during an earthquake. She will talk about a secret ancient workshop - the smithy of Etheria. But before you get to this place, you will find many adventures in the game Skyrim. The ethereal crown will become available only at the very end. In the meantime, you need to collect four fragments of eteria.
Where to look for magic material
You will find the first eterium fragment at the end of the Arkntamz ruins. Along the way, you will meet several Falmer and Corus, so stock up on antidotes and healing potions. In the end there will be a little mystery, and in order to solve it, you need to get into the spinning spheres on the wall in a certain order. You will find a clue in Catherine's diary and a note taken from the corpse of an adventurer.
The next place of search will be the Crossing of the Deep People. This location is located in the north-east of Markarth. There are no enemies, no riddles, so getting a splinter will be easy. The ethereal crown has become a step closer, now our path lies in Mzulf (the ruins south of Windhelm). There are also no problems here - we pick up the shard and go to Raldbthar (southwest of Windhelm). This place is quite dangerous, because the Falmer settled here, so do not forget to prepare for the trip. At the end of the location you will find the last splinter.
Forge
The ethereal crown awaits us in the ancient ruins of Btalfth, located south of Ayvarsted. Inside you can find several not very strong bandits. Get to the pedestal and insert the fragments into it, after which the elevator will open in the forge. But getting to the place will not be easy - the path will be blocked by Dwemer spheres and guard spiders. And in the end you will find a battle with the centurion and the master blacksmith. But when you deal with them, you can go to the forge and create your own reward, and this can be an ethereal crown, a staff or a shield. In addition, there are several chests in which you can get hold of useful and expensive items.

This magic item makes it possible for its owner to receive a blessing from two guardian stones at once, but only on condition that you carry an artifact on your head. The protective properties of the crown are not so strong, but with a sufficient level of “Blacksmithing” you can improve it on a workbench. This will require a Dwemer ingot.
