Profiled sheet (corrugated board, profiled sheet) - a common modern building material, which is a metal sheet with a profile of a certain type with a polymer coating or without it.
Recently, for the
construction of arbors, greenhouses, polycarbonate profiled sheets are also widely used.
As a rule, corrugated board is used for wall cladding, roofing, erection of fences. For each of the applications, a professional sheet with a specific type of profile is used. This material varies in metal thickness and profile height. Wall profiled sheets are marked with the letters βCβ or βCHβ. Depending on the wishes of the customer, corrugated board can be painted in any color according to the RAL color catalog, and the coating can also be different: smooth, matte, shiny.
Fixing corrugated board is a labor-intensive process, but not very complicated. The main thing is to carefully read the manufacturer's instructions on how to correctly mount corrugated board to the wall.
The first step in the implementation of wall cladding is the fastening of the battens, on which the corrugated board will then be mounted. The lath is a galvanized steel profile with a thickness of 0.5 to 1.2 mm. The profile view is similar to the Latin letter Z, which is why it is called the Z-profile. It is often used because it has good spatial rigidity.
The fastening of this profile to the wall is carried out using brackets, which during installation help to hide the unevenness of the walls. If it is necessary to create a space for ventilation, then an additional profile is mounted, to which the profiled sheet will then be attached.
Currently, wall cladding of buildings is carried out using modern insulation materials. Moreover, of course, the insulation is fixed to the wall before the corrugated board is fixed.
Mineral wool is mainly used for insulation of building facades , however, a lot when choosing a heater depends on the material of the wall itself and on the climate in the area. Thermal insulation is fixed using special anchors. The joints between its sheets should be tight, without gaps vertically and horizontally. On average, 4-5 anchors are needed on a standard thermal insulation sheet.
After installing the crate and the insulation layer, a waterproofing film is stretched to protect the facade from moisture and wind. It is pulled vertically, always with a lap. For fastening, self-tapping screws with a press washer are used.
Next, the corrugated board is directly fixed. When attaching a profiled sheet, you need to consider in which direction the wind mainly blows in a given area. It is necessary to know this to make a joint of sheets vertically in the wind, otherwise the wind will blow out under the profiled sheet.
Naturally, the installation of sheets is carried out using a building level.
It is necessary to fix the upper and lower edges of the sheets in each wave with self-tapping screws. For the rest of the area, you can fasten the sheet through the wave. As a rule, about six self-tapping screws are consumed per square meter of corrugated board. The vertical overlay of sheets should be carried out on a single wave, and horizontally by 100 mm.
