Rosa Mohan

Grade description

Mohan roses in landscape design are used both in individual and in group planting. They may well become the central color spot on the flowerbed. Rosa Mohan gives fairly large flowers. They have two significant advantages - a bright noticeable color and a classic shape. Most often, single buds appear on the shoots, so this variety is grown more for cutting. Even in a non-blooming state, the Mohan rose looks beautiful and well-groomed. Its bush is straight and branched; subject to all agrotechnical requirements, it is densely covered with large matte leaves. Rosa Mohana blooms quite easily again and pleases the eye until the first frost. The height of the bushes of this variety reaches a height of one meter with a width of sixty centimeters.

Rosa Mohana

Flower

The bright yellow flowers of this plant have a large, classic goblet shape. Unopened mohan rose buds reach eight centimeters. Petals of flowers have a โ€œsunnyโ€, bright yellow color with delicate veins painted in deep cherry tones. The bud itself is conical and rather tall. It rises slightly in the center of the flower. On average, there are up to thirty petals in it, and they are so clearly folded that the shape of the bud can be called ideal.

Growing

Planting a Mohan rose should be in a warm sunny place, where there are practically no cold wind flows. The plant prefers moist and well-drained soil with an acid-base reaction in the range of 5.6 to 7.3 pH. The planting pit should be prepared in accordance with a lump of earth, so that the roots of the rose in it would be located freely. Depth must be made at least fifty centimeters, since drainage of gravel or sand is required. Rosa Mohan does not tolerate stagnation of water. For this crop, a soil mixture consisting of three parts of manure is suitable, two each for a fertile layer of land and sand and one for peat. The best time to plant this hybrid tea is considered the beginning of May, when the soil has already warmed up.

Beautiful roses

Before planting a Mohan rose, the seedlings need to be held for four to six hours in water, especially with the root system open. It is advisable to remove damaged shoots on the roots by cutting off weak ones and leaving only strong or medium ones.

Rosa Mohan loves top dressing. The choice of complex fertilizers for this crop is quite large. In addition to top dressing, care involves regular weeding and watering. Fertilizers are usually applied in the spring and the second time in the middle of summer. Watering should be plentiful, usually once a week.

In the spring, the Mohan rose requires pruning, even before the buds awaken on it. For winter, it is advisable to cover the bush. To do this, as a rule, it is enough just to fill it with a twenty-centimeter layer of peat, and in the spring to clear the mound.
