Using chat, you can coordinate your actions much better, sometimes the internal chat of the game is more convenient than programs that allow you to exchange information (Skype, Discord). Because communication in this game takes place exclusively by chat, unfortunately, there are no internal options for additional communication.
How to enable chat in Minecraft
First, make sure that the custom version of Minecraft supports chat. The developers added the chat function only in the game version 1.3.0, earlier ones do not support chat. To check the version of the game, just start it and in the main menu under the words "Minecraft" see the version. If it is higher than 1.3.0, then you need to go to the "Settings" section, select the "Chat Settings" subcategory. In the menu that opens, we find the item "Chat:" and display the value on "Chat: visible." Do not forget to confirm the action by clicking on "Finish". In this subcategory, you can set the window size, transparency, color of labels and more. It should be borne in mind that the chat opens only in multiplayer.
Hotkey
By default, the chat window opens when you press the "T" key. If nothing happens, check the version, as well as the chat display in the settings. Then go to the "Management" subsection and assign a button convenient for you to open a text window. Then save the changed settings using the "Finish" item. After that, the chat should open when you click on the calibrated key.
Voice chat
Before you enable voice chat in Minecraft, you need to clarify that you can’t do this in the settings. Many have already guessed that it is necessary to attract fashion to the work. Immersive Voice is one of such mods that will add a familiar voice chat to the game. After installing the modification, a new settings block will be added to Minecraft, which is responsible for voice communication. By default, the call to the text window is activated using the "V" button. Modification is also not available in single player, just like regular chat.
