It often happens that it is simply impossible to connect to the central sewage system. In this situation, homeowners resort to developing their own sewer system - digging cesspools, where waste from the kitchen and bathroom will be routed through the pipeline. But sooner or later, the pit is filled completely and there is a need for pumping it out.
A pump for pumping sewage at home is a device on which the sanitary condition of the territory adjacent to a private house depends.
Why is it needed?
Thanks to pumping equipment, in particular a pump for cleaning the sewage system, the following tasks are solved:
- sewage treatment and sludge removal;
- pumping contaminated water;
- pumping out fecal waters;
- cleaning of sewer systems from thick deposits;

By the method of placement, the pump is:
- Outer. Installation of such equipment is carried out directly at the top of the cesspool. Liquid is taken by immersing special hoses in the water. The chopper is not equipped.
- Submersible. The opposite of the previous subtype of equipment. It functions after placing the pump in wastewater. The design features of this type of pump allow it to be installed at the bottom of the cesspool. The body of the device is made of high quality materials that are not susceptible to the harmful effects of corrosion. Several design options are possible depending on the immersion depth.
- Semi-submersible. Conventionally, it can be divided into two components: the pump and the part where the engine is located. The first is completely lowered into the water, and the motor is on the surface. The chopper is not equipped.
Sewerage pump and pumping rules
Sewer pump water should be equipped with a cutting mechanism-grinder. This is necessary so that this equipment does not fail and works efficiently when pumping contaminated water that contains large waste and other clogs (exceptions: stone, metal, etc.).

- The depth of the septic tank and the distance from the place where the effluents are pumped out to the installed collection tank. Such pumps cost a little more, but you will not have to doubt the quality characteristics of the unit, its practicality and reliability.
Other methods of pumping sewage at home
There are several ways to pump out the sewage system in a private house or in a country house: resort to the services of a sewage machine, equip a cesspool with a pump, or use chemicals.
The first option is quite expensive, since specialized transport can pump out a certain amount of liquid. So, if your cesspool contains, for example, 10 cubic meters of water, and the volume of the tank that the special equipment is equipped with is 5 cubic meters, then you will have to contact the company that provides the type of service you need and pay twice. This is economically disadvantageous.
The second way is more economical. However, before proceeding with the organization of the pumping process through the use of pumping equipment, it is necessary to decide where the waste water will go after pumping.
