After Lake Uvildy, Irtyash is considered the second largest in the Chelyabinsk region. And in terms of water - the third. Irtyash is a lake that stretches from southwest to northeast. Its length is almost 16 kilometers and its width is 8. The maximum depth can reach 22 meters.
Description
On the banks of this reservoir are two cities. One of them is Ozersk (closed to the public), the second is Kasli. Part of the water area of Lake Irtyash is also prohibited for visitors. It is celebrated in summer with white buoys, and in winter with a fence. Water is constantly supplied from the lake for PA Mayak. And also Irtyash is the main source of drinking water for Ozersk.
Irtyash is connected to neighboring lakes by several channels. Some even have one coastline with it. Two rivers flow into Lake Irtyash (Chelyabinsk Region) and the River Techa (the main tributary of the Iset River) flows out. In the middle of the reservoir there are several islands, and there is also a small peninsula. Their length is from several tens of meters to three kilometers.
Lake name translated from Bashkir means "rocky place." And this corresponds to reality, since its banks are really strewn with stones. In places there are even rocks.
On the shore are ancient settlements, abandoned mines, fortified settlements. The most ancient monuments have been preserved since the 6th century BC. On the shore, which is considered the urban zone of Ozersk, stands a round with columns of rotunda.
How to drive to the lake
Vacationers and fishermen prefer to come to the Irtyash. The lake has many convenient entrances for transport, hiking approaches and parking. All of them are easily accessible. From west and east you can approach from the side of a pine forest. Deciduous trees predominate on the eastern side. From the main road leading to Kasli and Ozersk, there are many turns to the lake. Any car can easily get to the shore. There are recreation facilities on the west bank.
Fishing on the Irtyash Lake
Irtyash - a lake, which on the north side belongs to the Caspian fish factory, and on the south - to Kyshtym. The exception is only the closed territory of Ozersk, since part of the reservoir is in the possession of this city.
Fishermen come here all year round. The winter "silent hunt" is considered to be favorite. In the lake are found:

Irtyash - a lake that has unusual magic stones. According to ancient legends, all seven large boulders that are in the water near one of its shores have a magical property. They bring happiness. To activate the magic properties of boulders, you need to take turns to climb all seven. You should start from the farthest from the shore, which is considered the First Magical, and move towards land.
