Nikolai Popov grew up in the Crimea, in a family of hereditary culinary specialists. He carefully considered the choice of profession, but in the end remained faithful to the traditions of the family. After completing the relevant training, he quickly became a famous chef. Gradually, among other options, he began to give preference to the art of making cakes, and then decided to devote himself completely to chocolate.
The doors of Nicholas opened the Polish and French academies, where he was dedicated to the intricacies of working with your favorite delicacies around the world. The result of the training and work of creative thought in chocolatiers was the opening in 2006 of an art confectionery in Simferopol. Three years later, Nikolai opened his first chocolate museum. The exhibition became so successful that in 2014 the master decided to go on a tour with him in the cities of the CIS and began to implement his plan from Belarus.
Sweets in Grodno

Edible knives, pans, wrenches and screwdrivers, chocolate dogs, squirrels and hares are located in two halls of the museum, filling the surroundings with an unforgettable aroma. The most impressive exhibit is the Eiffel Tower. According to the master, the production of the exposition took almost half a ton of local, Belarusian chocolate.
An exhibition of chocolate in Grodno opened with traditional breaking of tiles, the fragments of which were received by visitors. The event also began in Vitebsk and Brest, where the exhibition had already been by then.
Difficulties on the way and on the spot
All exhibits are made of local chocolate, and then transported in special vans at the optimum temperature. Chocolate is a fragile material, and some of the creations along the way are damaged. Their master restores on site for several days before opening.
However, exhibits suffer not only during transportation. Curious and distrustful sweet tooth visitors cause damage. Some just want to touch a picture of chocolate. Others do not believe that all this splendor is made of a favorite treat, and, touching, check. Still others dream to try. One of the exhibits, which was demonstrated by the chocolate exhibition in Minsk, is an edible frying pan with a broken edge. Nikolai Popov said that he did not specifically “repair” it after the previous exhibition.
In the vastness of our country
All 2015 the exhibition will be located in Russia. She has already visited Belgorod, Kaliningrad, Rostov-on-Don and several other cities. Everywhere a lot of people came to see the sweet exhibits. And each time something new appeared among the edible masterpieces. And, of course, not a single city was deprived of the opportunity to see the Eiffel Tower, a culinary masterpiece weighing 45 kg.
