History
The Sports Palace in Kiev is the very “heart” of the city. The building is located at the foot of the Cherepanova Mountain. The complex was built by 1960 by the city planners A.I. Zavarov, M.I. Grechin, as well as engineers S. Chudnovskaya, V.I. Repyah. The frame of the structure is a reinforced concrete product. The construction was built with a height of 4 floors, on a plot of about two hundred thousand square meters. In Kiev, the Sports Palace was officially opened for visits on 12/9/1960.

Here, in 2005, they realized the idea of creating the premiere of the Eurovision music contest, and a similar children's contest soon appeared.

In the spring of 2011, a festive ceremony was held to mark the opening of the complex after a short interval of 6 months. The arena and locker rooms were in desperate need of repair, which was done. At the same time, new seats were installed, which are painted in the color of the national flag, and an updated electronic display, the model of which is similar to a cube. It is connected from several plasma displays that can display various sports tournaments and performances taking place in the arena. Today, visitors have become more comfortable, because now they get the maximum of delight and pleasure, visiting the Sports Palace. A photo of the hall conveys only part of all this grandeur.
Of particular interest is the scene of the arena, which is a unique creation. All guests can clearly see any actions in different places of the rostrum. There is a large venue for rehearsals backstage where the main hall is located. Wardrobes are equipped with not only showers and toilets, but also massage tables, wardrobes for things. The latter is easily transformed into comfortable dressing rooms. If necessary, you can hang a mirror and install special furniture. At the Sports Palace in Kiev, exhibitions and expositions on various subjects are held on 2 floors when there are no concerts and championships in the schedule. The central gate with eleven corridors is the first floor.

Museum
About fifty years have passed since the founding of the stadium. A history museum has opened here, where guests can watch more than three hundred exhibits. All of them will allow you to move into the past and plunge into the history of the Sports Palace since its inception. But not only exhibits help to keep the memories of those years, a lot of photographs hang in the museum. Here you can see a variety of schemes and plans that fully reflect the construction process. In addition, various letters and cups won at championships and competitions are collected here. The employees of the complex have been collecting memorial items for years, which are currently available for study and familiarization to everyone.
