Electric meter (single-phase) - an electronic device that monitors all kinds of network parameters. Most often, this device is installed to monitor the consumption of electrical energy. It must be installed in industrial and administrative facilities, in various factories, as well as in all kinds of structures.
A single-phase meter must meet a number of requirements, including functionality, reliability, quality and durability. Before release, each device undergoes a testing process, where its compliance with the applicable international standards is ascertained, after which the verification interval is indicated. Modern devices have a simple, convenient interface, which allows even users without special education to use them effectively.
As mentioned earlier, a single-phase electric meter must meet different requirements. Let's consider some of them in more detail:
1.
The meter case must be closed, and the fixing screws must have intact seals of organizations: supplying and state-verification. The term of the last state verification for a single-phase device should not be more than two years.
2. The single-phase meter should not be located near fire hazardous or explosive substances. Their placement in a free and easily accessible space of dry rooms is recommended. It is allowed to install them in unheated rooms, provided that this corresponds to the nameplate characteristics of the meter. It should also be agreed with the relevant organizations, which in turn can put forward a number of conditions, for example, to insulate the cabinet in which this equipment is located, to use various heating elements. The simplest of the conditions is the installation of an incandescent lamp in a common cap with the electronic device presented.
3. A single-phase electric meter must be installed on structural elements that have a fairly rigid structure, for example, cabinets, panels, panels, walls and niches in them. Installation of the counter on plastic, metal and wooden structures is allowed.
4. The installation height should be between 0.4 - 1.7 m from the floor level. This requirement is strictly individual for each room, so the height range is quite wide.
5. If the single-phase meter can be subject to mechanical stress, it is necessary to place it in a special cabinet with a window opposite the dial. The same measures should be performed if the device is in an area accessible to unauthorized persons.
6. The design and dimensions of the equipment on which the meter will be installed should provide for the possibility of replacing and dismantling the measuring device from the front side, as well as a sufficiently accessible approach to the clamps and terminals.
7. The wiring does not allow twisting and soldering, in addition, you must leave the free end of the wire (10-15 cm).
