The city of Samara is divided into 9 administrative districts. Each of them has its own differences, features and its own face.

Industrial area

This is a territory that was formed in 1978. The industrial region of Samara is considered the largest in terms of population. Its length is 12.3 km, and the average width is 2.4 km. The population is 267 thousand people.

There are two higher education institutions: a law institute and an academy of public administration. A large number of industrial enterprises, including: Tarasov plant, oxygen and reinforced concrete plants, confectionery and gypsum plants.

There are places of worship such as the Cathedral of Cyril and Methodius, the Cathedral Mosque, which are also local attractions that tourists enjoy visiting.

Kirovsky district of Samara

Formed in 1942. The area is considered one of the largest in Samara, with a population of 228 thousand people. The borders are separated by the streets of Fizkulturnaya, Krasnodonskaya, Pskovskaya, 9 glades, the embankment of the Volga and Samara rivers, Kirova Avenue, Orlov Ravine, Barboshina Polyana.

The reason for the pride of the residents of the district is school No. 98. In 1941, all graduates immediately after receiving certificates voluntarily went to the front, led by the director of the school.

Of the industrial enterprises here are located: a carrier rocket manufacturer, an aircraft and a metallurgical, a concrete products factory, a bakery, a Coca-Cola plant and some others. There are many educational institutions: kindergartens, schools, 4 technical schools, shelters.

Sports is very developed, there are 4 stadiums in the area: Mayak, Metallurg, Zvezda, Voskhod. There are tourist attractions - the park of the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution, the Avenue of Labor Glory, a water park, a monument to the IL-2 attack aircraft, assembled in Samara and past a glorious battle path.

Exists since 1939. The area is not very large in area; 177 thousand inhabitants live in it. On its territory there are several industrial enterprises, such as a bearing, an aerodrome equipment plant, a fat factory, a cable company and others.

Until 1962, the Oktyabrsky district was Stalin. The population is 123 thousand people. Borders - the streets of Michurin, Field, Gagarin, Aurora, the Soviet Army, Solnechnaya, Moscow highway.

There are many educational institutions on the territory, including aerospace, technical, and medical universities. There are a considerable number of enterprises in the Oktyabrsky district, among them: a car repair plant, a tobacco factory, and others.

Zheleznodorozhny District

The district was formed in 1970, the population is 95 thousand people. This territory was called railway because of the station located in its center.

The regional recreation areas include: Schorsa park, Gagarin squares, Aerodromny, Tolevy and others. There are many monuments, for example, Shchors, the wall of the pilot Olga Sanfirova.

Like other areas of Samara, Zheleznodorozhny has educational institutions - schools, lyceum, technical school of light industry and railway.

The population is 87 thousand people. It consists of several villages: Military Town, Kryazh, Vodniki, Rubezhniy and some others.
