Many of those who live for a long time in the country, acquire their own garden, garden and related equipment. Like it or not, any cutting tool, be it a knife, a shovel or an ax, will inevitably become dull over time, and as a result, it needs to be sharpened from time to time. If you do this manually, the process will take a lot of time, and therefore it makes sense to get yourself such a useful tool as an electric emery.
What to look for when buying?
Today, the choice of household sharpeners on the market is very large, and in order to make a really right choice, you need to pay attention to two of its most important characteristics. Any emery is electric, regardless of the model, has such characteristics as the diameter of the wheel for sharpening and engine power. These key parameters have a very close direct relationship with each other - the larger the grinding wheel has a diameter, the more power the engine should have. If its size is 125 mm, it is considered small, the average size is 150-175 mm, and the maximum is 200 mm. The final choice is determined by the nature of the work. For example, the best machine (emery for sharpening a shovel or an ax) should have an engine with a power of 250 to 300 W and a grinding wheel with a diameter of 175 to 200 mm. The thing is that when machining dimensional tools, the pressure on the disc will be significantly greater, and low power may not be enough. In this case, the emery can stop, which will ultimately shorten its service life. In other words, the heavier and larger the tools, the more power the grinding machine should have. The third parameter, which also needs to be paid attention to, is emery planting. There are several standards for the diameter of the internal bore of the grinding wheel. It is best to choose a size of 32 mm. It is easiest to find such discs on sale, but the standards of 16 mm, 12.7 mm and 20 mm are much less common on the market.

Recommendations for choosing a grinding wheel
Usually emery is equipped with two electric discs that rotate simultaneously. The first grain of the grinding wheel is large or medium, and the second - small. Each of them has its own purpose. A coarse-grained disc is designed to remove the main layer of metal, and therefore it must be used first. A small disc is used for final sharpening, and it is applied at the end. Sometimes there are models in which one circle rotates very quickly (about 3000 revolutions per minute), and the second - slowly (about 130 revolutions per minute). The latter is made of fine grain and just serves for a slow and smooth refinement of sharpening.
Issue price
Nowadays, a large number of different manufacturers produce power tools. To make the right choice, it is best to look at the assortment of time-tested and well-established manufacturers. The quality that the emery has is electric, the price of the tool and its characteristics are perfectly combined with each other for products of such companies as Kraton and Zubr. The price in this case is quite low, for example, a ZUBR ZTSHM-175 machine with a disk of 150x20x32 mm in size and a power of 370 W costs 2350 rubles, and a low-power ZUBR ZTSHM-150 machine with the same disk and a capacity of 150 Watts can be found for 1579 rubles.
