Multilayer volume ruffles are often used to decorate a variety of types of clothing and textile interior items. They can be seen on blouses, skirts, dresses, cardigans, pillows and bedspreads.

The value of materials and tools
The manufacture of products, including ruffles, is not very difficult, it is enough to master the initial crochet. The ruffles (schemes for their implementation can be literally any) are made of soft, relatively thin yarn. The optimal thickness of the thread for knitting warm products is from 400 m / 100 grams to 600 m / 100 grams. We crochet short ruffles: schemes, description, application

Knitting openwork ruffles
For the manufacture of lace ruffles, a special scheme should be used. An even openwork pattern will not work, since the ruffle sheet should expand. You can find a ready-made pattern or adapt a fragment of a circular knitted napkin. Quite often, napkins are decorated around the edge with a lace border of several rows. This section should be used. The expansion of the canvas is already in the scheme and there is no need to puzzle over the invention of the bicycle.

This item is suitable for children and adult products. Of course, the specifics of each model have its own, but there is a common feature: the method of connecting the canvas of the skirt with ruffles.
The cloth of the skirt is knitted with a sirloin net and then the ruffles are crocheted (it is better to take openwork patterns for the skirt) at an equal distance from each other. It should be ensured that the last rows of each ruffle overlap the first rows of the next.
