And you can gather in the Tver region to visit the famous Seliger, which collects a huge number of tourists every summer.

Directions are very different: gynecological, gastroenterological, neurological, cardiological, traumatological and many others. The advantage of suburban holiday homes for residents of the central district is that they do not need to spend time on acclimatization, and this is even more budgetary, and the road does not take much time. And before the start of the swimming season, it is better to familiarize yourself with such information, because even in the most seemingly tested and long-familiar places you can stumble upon extremely unpleasant surprises - broken glass or other garbage near the shore, unpleasant diseases and other consequences.

In 2014, 77 beaches were recognized as suitable for swimming in the Moscow Region. Some of them are located on the territory of recreation centers, and the rest are municipal. Among the most popular are the following ponds and lakes of the Moscow Region:

  • Klyazma reservoir. The recreation area "Khlebnikovo" has 2 free beaches. You can rent catamarans and boats, rent a gazebo. At the nearby Troitskoye base there is a bathing area for children, there are water rides and a cafe. This beach is also free, but you will have to pay 200 rubles to enter the car.
  • Pirogovskoe reservoir. In the Bay of Joy equipped with free beaches with playgrounds. There is also an entertainment complex, the entrance to the territory of which will cost an adult up to 600 rubles.
  • Myakinin floodplain. Here you can find both secluded, β€œwild” places and a paid beach, for example, Rublevo. Sports fields, equipment for children, grass, sand and clean water - all this will cost 150 rubles.
  • Istra Reservoir. The largest and most popular here is the free beach in the village of Trusovo. There is a children's area, summer cafes and other infrastructure.

Of course, many residents of the capital have their favorite lakes near Moscow and places of traditional relaxation. But the above listed remain one of the most popular from year to year.

For fishermen

Some are not enthusiastic about swimming in rivers and lakes; they prefer a quiet pastime with a fishing rod. Fishermen are often found in Moscow: on the Khimki reservoir, the Derivational canal, in Serebryany Bor and near even the smallest ponds. There is much more choice in the region β€” you don’t even have to travel far β€” these are Senezh in Solnechnogorsk, White Lake (Moscow Region, Shatursky District), Biserovo, a pond near the village of Malinniki in the Yaroslavl direction. Each fisherman has his own secrets and favorite places, but in these reservoirs fishing is free and enjoyable. And even if the catch is not the main goal, it can also be very pleasing.

How to get there

The easiest way, of course, is to do it in a personal car. You won’t have to look at the train schedule, worry about canceling them, or stay in wet clothes for a long time or take them with you. A car is more convenient when it comes to a family trip with young children. In the end, you can stop and have a bite at any time, or just take a break. Of course, traffic jams can seriously spoil the mood, but if you choose not too distant lakes near Moscow and find the time suitable for the trip, then you can minimize the likelihood of getting into traffic jams.

Closest to Moscow

Water bodies located very close to the metropolis, of course, can hardly be called crystal clear and completely deserted, but, nevertheless, you can have a great rest there.

On Shchelkovo and Yaroslavl highway, you can quickly enough get to the Klyazma reservoir, the river of the same name and, of course, the famous Bear Lakes. In the Gorky direction, about 30 kilometers from the capital, you can relax in the Kupavna area. Further south is White Lake. The Moscow region, however, can be considered conditional here, since this place, just like the neighboring Chernoye and Svyatoye, is located within the city. Every year, all water bodies of the capital are checked for compliance with a number of standards, and in 2014, White Lake was included in the short list of permitted ones.

In the west there is a beautiful picturesque bay and floodplain, which attracts residents from all over the Krasnogorsk district and the surrounding areas of Moscow. To the north, Khimki reservoir and canal are popular. However, environmentalists have found an increased content of certain types of bacteria in local water, so swimming is not recommended. Dolgoprudny and Pushkino near the Uchinsky reservoir are located a little further from Moscow, but they also deserve attention. So the lakes and rivers of the Moscow region are quite suitable for relaxing on hot days.
